I used to have it done at BrowHaus but it costs 500php a pop so it's kinda pricey for simple threading. Sometimes I end up with too sparse brows or still look messy. I did a lot of research and come up with a perfect way for me, to shape my brows the way I want it to be.

All we need is a nice white eyeliner and tweezers!

*pluck* *pluck* *pluck*

As you can see the lines of both ends end in equal height and then right above the iris is the highest arch of the brow. There are a lot of brow shapes available to try so just draw em on and pluck!
For those who arent sure of the shape, you can purchase brow templates that is commonly used and use that as a stencil.
I already filled my brows with wax and brow powder, will make a tutorial for that very soon

Im wearing GEO CK 107 from MyAppleEyes! They sell original Japanese and Korean contact lenses at the best prices! They ship fast and theyre very honest and kind sellers as well! CK 107 turns out to be one of my favorite ones because of how natural they look but enhance my eyes making them appear bright and happy.

I got the information from Animetric's Blog and I just have to register! No I havent received my kit yet, but Im so excited to share this with you guys!

So I did a test on 4 different eyeliners. I checked if they really do as they claim. All liners claim they are waterproof and smudgeproof.

Image Order L-R:
1. Styli Style 24 Automatic Flat Liner in Brown
2. Styli Style 24 Line and Seal in Brown
3. Prestige Waterproof Eyeliner in Black
4. ArtDeco Waterproof Eyeliner in Brown
Freshly Applied

Waited for 30 seconds for liner to Set.. and then Rubbed HARD.

Placed Hand in Running Water

Rubbed HARD again.

As you all can see, after this rough eyeliner test, both prestige and artdeco "waterproof" liners definitely smudged and faded. Though they have a creamier texture than styli style's, lasting power is so-so. The obvious winner is Styli Style 24 Flat Liner.

  1. Styli Style 24 Flat Liner
  2. Styli Style 24 Line and Seal Liner
  3. ArtDeco Waterproof Liner
  4. Prestige Waterpoof Liner

Eyes are the windows to the soul, and they are also where beauty resides. Every girl dreams of having a pair of shining eyes. Yet dreams are elusive. Eye bags can easily mar the beauty of eyes. What's more, lack of sleep, bad make-up removal habits and age can all give rise to the appearance of eye bags, which can never be dealt with easily. Working ladies feel annoyed with eye bags. Don't worry, help is on the way. With these small tips, eye bags are no more than a piece of cake.
Quick ways to weaken eye bags
Waking up in the morning to see eye bags under eyes is an experience familiar to most girls. How can we weaken these eye bags and show up looking great at the office? Basically, there are two ways: hot and cold packing. The former is best conducted at night before sleep and the latter in the morning.
**Hot packing
Formula I

Heat some olive oil and apply some under your lower eyelid using cotton sticks. Keep the sticks there for a minute and then pat the lower eyelid to help your face absorb the olive oil. A little massage will also help.
Formula II

Get a glass of hot water and add some salt to the water. The amount of salt required may vary depending on different people. Readers may try several times to find the best dosage. Just remember not to use exceedingly salty water the first few times.
Cut make-up cotton pads into the shape of eye masks and soak the masks in the salty water. Then wear the masks and keep them on for five to ten minutes.
**Cold packing
Formula I
Freeze two iron spoons in the refrigerator and take them out ten minutes later. Press the spoons onto the eye bags.
Formula II
First prepare your eyes by applying some olive oil to them, then lay cooled used chamomile or green tea bags on the eye bags. It will take five to ten minutes for the tea bags to effect.
Formula III
Get around half a basin (1/4 meters in diameter) of water and add a drop of rosemary oil extract a one drop of rose extract to the water. Soak a towel in the water and then dry the towel and lay it on your eyes. Keep the towel there for 15 minutes.
Small habits to prevent eye bags
Girls had better not drink water half an hour before they go to bed. Water before sleep harms blood circulation around eyes. A little massage may help drain extra water that accumulates in daytime and is left around eyes. Lie flat on your bed and close your eyes. Use your forefingers to press the dents under the heads of your eyebrows. Such massage will also help relax the eyes.
Be tender to your eyes when you remove the make up around them. Try not to pull or pluck the eyelids. If you do so too often, your eyelids will grow lax and eye bags will show up. When you wear or remove contact lenses or draw the eye lines, do so gently. Also, use special eye make-up removal liquids and soft cotton pads to remove make-up around the eyes.
Bloated eye bags don't indicate that you have too much water around the eyes. On the contrary, it means your eyes are too dry (due to lack of sebaceous glands, the skin around the eyes is normally drier than elsewhere). So if you have eye bags, opt for moisturizing eye creams.

K says: Okay so the grapeseed oil thing didnt work for me no more. I'm going to try the one using green tea bags and the salt water mask, I will probably use less salt than I usually do for my usual salt masks as they sting!

As my pot of my HG eyeshadow primer ran out *sob* and have no replacement because Art Deco is discontinued in our country, I  have to makeshift and search for another HG by ordering online. But since I do not have the time of day and Im trying to save more budget. I decided to experiment and try if a homemade eyeshadow primer can work.

and you know what? I think it did!

Materials Needed:
  1. A cotton bud with the tip cut off for mixing
  2. Any HD finishing powder or silica
  3. Liquid or Cream Foundation
  4. Container
  1. Squeeze an ample amount of foundation in your container, about half the pot
  2. Put your powder together with the foundation in the container, I used 1/8 tsp.
  3. Mix until you get a nice airy and mousse like consistency
  4. Tada!
Eyeshadow Freshly Applied

  Left Eye: With Primer
Right Eye: Without Primer

After 8 Hours

It's probably not the best primer around but it certainly works! The mixture definitely controlled the sebum on my left eye and made my shadow last longer and melt slower. But of course, when I get the chance, I would still use a commercial primer like Art Deco or UDPP (Urban Decay Primer Potion)

Retouching is one thing I hate doing especially when days are uber busy. Upon retouching you have to bring the makeup you used first thing in the morning. Eyeshadow, foundation, blush, lipstick, lipgloss, liner, etc.

Now most people use pressed powder to keep their makeup looking fresh and preventing the oilies, but I abhor using them. Why? Because I hate packing more layers of makeup on my skin. It feels very clogging no? But we cannot control nature and our oils will definitely rise up from our pores after some time. For me it takes around 4 hours for oil to seep out.

The one thing that is always in my handbag are blotting films. Why? They absorb my oil and keep makeup in place. I usually blot 2-3 hours during the day to prevent my makeup from creasing and fading away.

Now the thing with blotting films is you blot. You dont wipe it all over your face like some people I see do, using the film like some face towel. Gently pat the film on oily spots and see the miracle happen.

It wont smudge your makeup if you use it properly.

I love blotting films so much because it doesnt force me to pack more powder on my face and keeps it fresh.

I'm not particular with brands but I find Finesse and Gatsby really good and cheap.

I have weird eyes..:( Even if I wear circle lenses they still look odd on me my eyes are rather elongated and big than round and big

I'm longing to have those circle-y round eyes like those people who had plastic surgery  but of course I wouldnt want to resort to plastic surgery. My hubby doesnt like it when I wear circle lenses, he tells me I'm already beautiful without them and wearing them makes me so beautiful that it looked odd.
T_T I love my lenses though.

The lenses did make my face look softer though.

Comfort: These are not so comfortable compared to my nudy grays, even after removal of the lenses I felt something was still there.
Enlargement: Did enlargement without making me look alien-like.
Color: This is very natural looking which can be used daily without people noticing. I have dark brown eyes and this blends in really well. I am not sure for those who have green or blue eyes though.

Score: 7/10

I know ladies here have heard of this "tip"
Using any red eyedrops to your pimple to make the redness temporarily disappear.

I found a bottle of eyemo eyedrops and also for making my eyeshadows last longer or make it as a liquid eyeliner and decided to try it on my fresh fresh fresh acne.

Did it work? Hell no. It stayed the same. The zit is still red. Not even a shade lighter. I even gave it a chance and let it stay for more than an hour, and then applied again.

Still no change. The nifty old concealer did the job.

How about you guys? Have you tried this "beauty tip"? Did it work for you?

I got a tube of this as a freebie when I bought several styli style eyeliners from ebay; I love the eyeliners and brow liners so much that I hoarded. They are so worth it and one of the best liners I've tried. I would make a comparative and full review on this liners soon.
This however was a slight disappointment. I got the one in flower power which looked like a nice rosey shade basing on the tube color and swatches but lo behold, it made my lips too frosty. It is frosty. It is VERY frosty. Can I say frosty again?

Hipstick is supposed to be a perfect combination of lipstick and lipgloss in one cute tube, but for me, it's 80% frost and 20% pigment. Boy don't let me talk about the smell. It's a mix of playdoh and chocolate and plastic, and rotting lipstick.

This has no staying power at all and once the pigment is gone, youre left with ugly silver glitter on your lips.

The only good thing I could say about this lipstick is that it didnt make it dry. Its quite moisturizing and texture is nice.

If you can stand the smell, glitter, and frost, then go ahead and buy this. Try it out. I have full lips and frosty lipstick is a big nono for me. I think this will look good on gals who have thin lips who want that extra pout.

I'm 100% fully supporting Dick Gordon and Bayani Fernando. They are realistic about the country's situation and know that it isnt an easy task to make the "poor" "rich" just by using your own cash *ehemMannyehem*. They know it's hard work, motivation, and honesty.

They made Marikina and Olongapo one of the nicest cities around during their days. I believe the Philippines will be as great as Japan or Singapore if they get the seats. Unfortunately, there are still a lot of people who get carried away just because some person is the son of a country's dead hero and icon *ehemNoynoyehem* or some are filthy rich because of corruption *ehemMannyehem* or some just smart without heart *ehemGiboehem* or some as dumb as them *ehemERAP*ehem

Why You'll Love It

Fall in love with color, all over again:
  • Crisper color from pure pigments
  • Creamier feel from nourishing honey nectar
  • Lipcolor so rich, so stunning… it’s sensational
  • 48 Captivating Shades

Okay, so I've been traumatized by how Maybelline Lipsticks dry the heck out of my lips (even the ones that they say "moisturizing" ones), but I love their mascaras though.

I was hesitant to purchase their newest line of lipsticks the Color Sensational which is said to be the improved version of Moisture Stay, that's why I just used one from the tester to give it a shot. But I have to agree, they really improved this line of lippie!

What I Like
  • These lippies are highly pigmented!
  • Unline the previous moisturestay, this one has a moist semi-glossy finish
  • Lasts a fairly good amount of time
  • For the first time, a Maybelline lipstick that did not dry my lips out.
  • Love the classy aluminum like red packaging, sleek  ;)

What I don’t Like
  • It feels like, I am wearing lipstick. My lips felt really really warm while wearing this and I don't know why

I do not have time to blow dry, moreso time to airdry! That is why I usually go out with damp hair :p *gross*

I would try and blow dry my hair next time and see if it makes any difference.

How about you? Do you blow or do you air? :D

How many times haven't you heard that blow drying can damage your hair and you should let it air dry to avoid drying out your tresses. It is actually a thing that you should decide for yourself.

You can choose to blow dry because this is the only way you can style your hair as you wish, you can choose to air dry because you think it is less damaging for your hair and you also help the environment by reducing the electricity consumption. It should be your decision based on what works for you.

Here are the differences between blow drying and air drying, to help you make the best choice for you:

Blow drying

  • the blow dryer is powered by electricity in order to dry the hair quickly

  • it is great especially for people who are in a hurry and need to get their hair dried quickly

  • it has heat settings so it can blow cold or hot air. Hot air can damage the hairs due to the heat which strips moisture out of the hair and leaves it prone to dryness

  • the hair can be styles easier in place due to the fact that the bonds of the hairs can be closed due to the use of the heated blow drying, thus leaving the hair as styled

  • if the hair is blown dry correctly and with the right styling products the hair doesn't suffer excessive damage

  • blow drying hairair drying hair

    Air drying

  • is a natural way of drying the hair. The hair will dry on it's own

  • it takes a long period of time for the hair to dry

  • it doesn't damage the hair

  • the hair can be harder to style

  • it's perfect for people who have enough time on their hands to allow their hair to dry

  • Whatever method of drying your hair you choose make sure you do it correctly, so your tresses will look beautiful and healthy.

    1) "Re-painting your polished nails with a clear top coat every second day makes the colour last and last and last and last, I swear."
Amy Starr, beauty editor at SHOP Til You Drop.
    2) Did you know a rosy lipstick can double up perfectly as a rosy blush? Simply dab onto the apples of cheeks (the bits that protrude when you smile) and blend in with your fingertip.
    Katrina Lawrence,

    3) Want to learn how to apply fake eyelashes, or master the art of liquid liner? YouTube has some great how-to videos that will give you a good starting point. Or for a vintage glamour look, check out

    4) How many of these ‘hall-of-famers’ are in your bathroom? They’re must-haves for a reason, so add one or two to your basket next time you’re at Priceline or the department store makeup counter.

    YSL Touche Eclat
    Maybelline Great Lash Mascara
    Clarins Beauty Flash Balm
Chanel Le Vernis in Rouge Noir
    Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream
    Lancôme Juicy Tubes
    Klorane Dry Shampoo
    Benefit Benetint
    Chanel No.5
    Nars Blush in Orgasm

    5) If a regular shower cap isn’t preventing your blow-dry from becoming a frizzy mess, try a cloth-lined version. Plastic can make your head sweat – instant death for your carefully smoothed locks!

    6) Do you wander sleepily into the shower in the mornings and blast your face with hot water in a bid to wake up? Stop! High temperatures increase sebaceous gland activity, which can lead to pimples, and can also cause capillary damage.

    7) Want to make your eyeliner last all day? Buy an eyeliner brush and a dark eye shadow in a wet-dry formulation. Lightly dampen the brush and apply the shadow as you would a liner. You’ll have a longer-lasting line that will take you from dinner with the girls to the dance floor without any need to reapply.

    8) Dry lips? Start by grabbing a lip scrub or damp facecloth and gently exfoliate away the chapped skin. A Chapstick-type wax-based lip balm; or beauty writer fave Lucas Papaw Ointment will keep your lips protected and moisturised during the day.

    9) For bright red Hollywood lips apply your first coat of lippie, blot with a tissue and then reapply – it’ll give it longevity and luscious colour.
Sharon Goldstein, beauty editor at OK! Magazine. Check out Sharon's blog at

    10) Uh oh! Running late and need to look made up pronto? Mix a smidge of luminizer in with your regular moisturiser and smooth over your face for an instant and natural looking glow.
Sharon Goldstein, beauty editor at OK! Magazine - check out her blog at

    11) The best way to make the most of your bright new shade of lipstick? Prime your pout with concealer first - this will tone down your lips' natural hue, making your lippie stand out more.
    Katrina Lawrence,

    12) Banish bad hair days forever! Have a selection of sleek headbands and cool hats on hand for days when hair misbehaves. Or even a few good ol' elastic bands - nothing beats a sleek ponytail or casual bun when it comes to chic hair styling.
    Katrina Lawrence,

    13) Concealer can be a miracle worker – you’ve just got to know how to use it. Yellow-toned concealer can help to even out shadowing, while pink-tones hide bruising. A green-toned concealer can help neutralise the redness of rosacea, broken capillaries or ‘too-rosy’ cheeks.

    14) Mum always said squinting can cause wrinkles, but it can also help when applying your mascara! If you squint your eyes just a little bit as you apply a coat of mascara, it will keep the lashes off your skin and allow them to dry flawlessly. Sorry Mum.

    15) Need to speed up the drying process on your home mani? Give your nails a quick blast with a hairdryer set to ‘cool’.

    16) If you suffer from broken capillaries on your face, add a 2000mg dose of Vitamin C to your morning routine. Vitamin C is known to help strengthen capillary walls.

    17) It’s amazing how a DIY spray tan can make you feel so much better at this time of year. Remember the key is to exfoliate first – and rub a bit of moisturiser on elbows and knees – areas it tends to grab.
Adriana Donnola, lifestyle and beauty editor, NW

    18) Are you a nail polish peeler? STOP! When you peel back the polish, chances are you’re taking a layer of nail with you. Reach for the nail polish remover instead.

    19) Next time you hit the beach, remember to put sunscreen on your hands and feet. They’re the areas that are always neglected, yet they age the fastest!

    20) Hang on to cosmetic and skincare samples found inside magazines or as gifts with purchase. They’re a perfect size for travelling, or to put in your work desk drawer for makeup top-ups during the day.

    21) When did you last have a breast check? Regular breast checks (by your GP or self-exam) are crucial for detecting changes in breast tissue. Head to for more information and to watch a how-to video.

    22) Next time you have a mani, try a coat of gun metal grey. It looks great on short nails... which makes it perfect for you biters out there!

    23) For the perfect pair of red lips, use a lip brush to paint on your lipstick. Blot with a tissue, then brush on another coat. Blot once more. This helps to create a long-last no-bleed effect.
    Katrina Lawrence,
    24) Body brushing is the single best thing you can do in your beauty routine. It makes you healthy from the inside, and in turn, look it on the outside. Reduces cellulite too – what a bonus.
Amy Starr, beauty editor at SHOP Til You Drop.

    25) Never underestimate the power of the brow… and how much they can change your look if done badly!

DO: Get them shaped professionally. If you can’t afford to get it done regularly, have a beautician sculpt them once every 2-3 months and maintain them in between yourself.
DON’T: Go too thin – thin is definitely not in!
DO: Fake thicker brows by putting in a little brow gel and brushing upwards with a brow brush.
DON’T: Pluck multiple hairs. Removing one hair at a time will take a little longer, but you’ll get a much better result.
DO: Tweeze stray hairs above the brow if you need to – just be careful to maintain your natural arch.

    26) Don’t forget the golden beauty rule: play up eyes or lips – never both. Go too OTT on both the eyes and lips and neither feature will stand out.
    Katrina Lawrence,
    27) Winter is the perfect time to use a body oil to moisturize. It’s quick to soak in and seems to envelop your body like a warm winter blanket. I like to massage my cuticles on hands and feet too – before you know it those toes are going to be on show again!
Adriana Donnola, lifestyle and beauty editor, NW

    28) Is your chic dark polish still clinging to your nails after a session with the nail polish remover? Try squeezing some lemon juice into a bowl of warm water. Soak for a couple of minutes to remove staining.

    29) If you have small lips go for light, glossy lip colours. Try to avoid dark and matte lippy as they’ll make your lips appear smaller.

    30) Sick of waking up with lines on your face from your pillow? Switch to silk pillowcases and you’ll have one less wrinkle to worry about in the morning.
Amy Starr, beauty editor at SHOP Til You Drop.
