Have you been meaning to try a different look, after years of ulzzang, or dolly look, or natural look? Have you been wanting to do a smokey eye but afraid it would look like someone punched you in the face?

Fear not my friends, while browsing on youtube, I found the perfect video tutorial for newbies like us. It's so simple and easy to follow that we can make a smokey eye in 5 min. or less. Yes that's true.

I used the ff. products to try out her smokey eye look, click the link for individual review of the products

1. K-Palette Real Lasting One Day Tatoo Liner
2. Imju Fiberwig Mascara in Black
3. Sleek Eyeshadow Palette

Here's the result, used only my laptop camera but the look is very different compared to natural or simple ulzang with light shadow + dark liner. I only did half. As usual. Haha!

Who here goes to the grocery with a shopping list and then comes out with a whole lotta products and food not in the list and we don't actually need? Raise your hands!!!!
*raises hands* Guilty mam!

When I swore to go on a low-carb diet, my sweet tooth failed me once again as I purchased a couple of dangerous treats to snack on @_@

First up is Cadburry Chocolate Mallows.

Yep, that's not it. But every time chocolate mallows is mentioned. This particular brand never fails to give me nostalgia. It's a treat my grandpa gives us when we're obedient kids. Cadburry's are smaller than Nebisco's and would you believe, it doesn't taste any better? Nebisco still wins hands down as best chocolate mallows.

Digestives, coming from the root word digest. They're supposedly biscuits to aid digestion. It supposed to be a healthy variation of a cookie. But when combined with cadbury chocolate? I have my doubts. But it does taste really good. It has 80 calories per biscuit so eat in moderation.

How about you guys? What do you pick up in groceries that's not in your list? :) Would love to hear your grocery mishaps!

I've been a fan of goat horn and ox horn combs because it gives a nice shine to hair. But then I lost mine recently so I need to get a replacement. I found it difficult to look for horn combs here in Singapore so I resorted to using a bristled brush instead.

So I found this a Kent brush in Watson's for around 29SGD and it's worth it. Here's more info about the brush.

The importance of bristle

Kent sources only the finest natural boar bristle from India and China, where it is a by-product. Good quality boar bristles have a natural stiffness to brush thoroughly yet "give" as they are drawn through the hair, and are renowned for their strength and resilience. The quality of boar bristle varies considerably. Bristles are judged by their stiffness. When the hair is collected from the boar, the best quality and the most expensive are the bristles found closest to the body.

Bristle maintains good hair condition in many ways. Firstly, it keeps hair clean. When looking under a microscope, bristle looks very much like fish scales. These scales pick up dirt, pollution and excess hair products from the hair.

Bristle also stimulates the scalp and the red blood cells situated there - this naturally encourages hair growth. Finally, by brushing with bristle, the natural oils (sebum) that are produced in your scalp are released and distributed along the hair shaft, keeping hair healthy, shiny and glossy, thus preventing dull-looking hair and frizzy split ends. Natural boar bristle will never damage human hair as they are both made of the same protein.

All our bristle brushes are hand trimmed in the Kent factory; this means every bristle is a slightly different length, which creates an uneven surface to the brush. This enables it to penetrate hair perfectly reaching deep down to the scalp.

Pure bristles should not be used on wet hair as the bristles will not penetrate effectively.

It has a nice sturdy grip

The bristles are a bit hard to clean and you have to avoid wetting the wood.

It made my hair shinier, and gave the VOLUME that my flimsy hair needed. I can't believe that using a different brush would give a HUGE difference.

The body con dresses, or the body hugging mini dresses have been the trend circa 2009-2010 although it is still very much visible in our fashion today. It looks good on curvy women rather than slender ones because it does flatter curves, and if you have the belly pooch.. A nice round ass just like J-lo's would also be an advantage.
Okay let's do this all together.

*breath in* *suck the belly button in* *keep breath in*

It's only been recently that I have been wearing these kinds of dresses because I lost a lot of weight. Must take advantage right? And it feels sooooo good wearing em because you feel "sexier" showing off the legs, and the curves of bust-waist-hip ratio. Okay, so maybe I need a little more extra in the bust section. Haha!

Figure hugging bandage dresses are daring, yet elegant, as the wrap technique flatters all those perfect places, sculpting those much needed curves.

Body Con Trend: Sexy Silhouette Revival in your Designer Clothes
This trend exudes confidence and power, and for the more wearable look try the body con skirts with a bright top. This is a trend to be accessorized to the maximum, with small statement pieces, such as dainty jewels and clutch bags. To wear this trend best, stay with block and bold colors, keeping the clothing silhouette simple and uncomplicated, to truly ooze sassiness. It’s possible to wear these bodysuit-like styles in a modern way.

So my question is Would you wear something even if it's not "trending" anymore?

Taken on a beautiful Sunday. The dress is very casual chic that can be dressed up or dressed down depending on the accessories or shoes you are wearing. I paired this with simple beige pumps from Charles and Keith, a few accessories and a gold necklace just to give it more "oomph". Wore this going to church. It's dressy and decent! :) It's uber light and comfy, just be careful because it's too light, if it's windy outside LOL you're going to be ala Marilyn Monroe.

You can check out Jewels and Charms in their facebook page where they sell a whole lotta clothes. I'm currently eyeing on their studded corsets that looks so sexy!

BB Creams. They have been around for quite a few years now and I was one who went and go gaga when it first came out. It's sad that the one who posted the before and after pics together with skin improvement can't be found anymore. She used Skinfood Gingko Green BB Cream and the results were AMAZING. Her face went from lumpy to flawless in 7 months. It's a long time but the improvement and results were really drastic.

I'm nearing to finish Dr G BB Brightening Balm and it quickly turned into one of my favorites. Here's why:

With BB Cream Only
I like how it leaves a really glowing and dewy finish even after you set this up with powder. The sales lady also mentioned this BB cream does not oxidize throughout the day, unlike others that turn orange when we get oily. This is very moisturizing and makes the skin feel soft to touch without feeling greasy or sticky. BUT it doesn't control oil. So it's either you set it with a good finishing powder, or use a mattifying base beforehand. I don't use it because I have dry patchy skin sometimes, so I will just prefer touching up with a few blots here and there mid-day.

As for its whitening and anti-wrinkle effect. I couldn't say because I use a different BB cream each time I finish a tube. The active ingredient in Dr. G brightening balm is Arbutin for whitening.

It lasts a good 6 hours, but at the end of the day, the skin still looks healthy and glowing, compared to not using this BB cream. I've been using it daily and it hasn't broken me out. It has a soapy fragrance, very mild. Coverage wise, it has light to medium coverage but can be built up without being cakey. It has a natural shade that can blend with both yellow or pink based skin and not look ashy or gray. Just nice and dewy.

Did you know this BB cream was specifically made for a person who requested something to help with healing of his scars while covering it up.

You can get this at Sasa stores or if anyone does pre-order abroad because I don't think this is available in the Philippines yet.
