Monthly Beauty Favorites for APRIL – W. Lab, Clean, The Balm, Catrice
This post won’t be exceptionally long but I hope this series can keep up on a monthly basis. I’ll be featuring monthly favorites and this won’t be restricted on beauty products alone. It can include food, clothing brands, shoes, fragrances, even pets! For the month of April, here are well-loved products that have been used and abused on a daily basis inside my bag.
They are not in any order! 😛
Catrice Prime and Fine Mattifying Powder (Waterproof)
Catrice Cosmetics can be found in Watson’s. The Prime and Fine Mattifying Powder is translucent on skin. It looks whitish-pink in the pan. What I like about this powder is it sets my makeup without looking powdery. It’s waterproof but it’s not oil proof. It serves double purpose because you can also use this as primer if you want a smooth base before applying makeup. What sucks is that this product is limited edition. It reminds me of the famous RCMA Powder that I also use but hassle to bring because it’s loose and comes in a jar.
As with all variations of Clean. Clean Blossom is a soft blend of florals you can wear on its own, or mixed with your signature fragrance to make it smell more summer. My signature perfume is Chanel No5 but the temperature here in the Philippines is too darn high it’s not compatible anymore. I spray Clean Blossom all over and then do a dab of Chanel on my wrists and neck area.
Canmake Eyelash Curler
You do know that Shu Uemura is now discontinued in the Philippines and my old Shu eyelash curler died after 10 years of service (RIP). I needed an alternative quick and while browsing around the Beauty Section of SM Makati, I spotted this thing of beauty. The SA was nice enough to let me try and it worked wonders in curling my lashes. It’s 500php and did I mention it’s PINK?! Canmake Eyelash Curler ftw! (I used it on my Fresh Glowing Makeup Look Video)
W. LAB Flower Lip and Cheek Palette
Scoring surprise finds because shopping in Althea Korea brings so much joy. I bought the W. Lab Flower Lip and Cheek Tint on a whim because I still have 1,500php on my account and wanted a multipurpose palette. I had zero to low expectations on this one because most lip and cheek palettes have little to no pigment at all and fade so fast. This one is an exception. All colors are wearable, and is opaque when applied to lips. It blends like a dream on the cheeks and you only need a setting powder to make it last. Worth every penny and I recommend it to on-the-go gals like me who want a lot of color but doesn’t like the burden of carrying many lipsticks LOL.
There you go folks! I hope you enjoyed my monthly favorites! Would you like to read more like this in the future? And maybe a VLOG version too! Let me know and also share your favorites in the comments section below 🙂
