Mac Pink Nouveau Dupe is Wet n Wild Muave Outta Here

Read a lot of bloggers saying that Wet n Wild's muave outta here is a good dupe for the ever so popular pink nouveau of MAC. Is it a dupe?

Sorry for the zit overload, no time to spot conceal :( and yes, this is how bad my skin WAS. I'm slowly recovering using a regimen, and that's another topic. MAC is more cool toned, feathery, and drying.
Wet n Wild is slightly darker and warmer than Pink Noveau, but it's definitely close. Muave about it is more flattering on me and is wearable on a daily basis. But for gals on a budget and wants the same skin "bloomening" effect of MAC's go ahead and give Wet n Wild's a try. You get a bang for your buck. Try out their other products too, especially their brow powder and shadows.

Red lipstick really looks good in the evening, especially under low warm lights. Here's a photo of an officemate and me in our Western-inspired Christmas party. It looked less harsh compared when worn under daylight.

MAC Pink Nouveau

I've been reading a lot of raves from this particular shade of lipstick lately so I just got to try it! *jumps up and down with glee*

When I want a pop of color on my face, I reach for my lippie rather than shadows or blush. Why? Because its so convinient to just slap it on my lips without any mirror (ehem, my lips are quite "big" or "full" so its foolproof haha).

Most lippies I have are quite similar; Note to self:  Stop purchasing similar hot pink lipsticks!!!!
so this is new to me.


It's a bright, blue-based pink that on me lean towards to lilac

I love it when first applied however after some hours or so, it fades into a corpse-like tint on my lips thats a very very unpleasant sight! So I have to check every now and then if I need to re-apply. It's also a bit drying making my lips chappy and more zombie looking as time passes.


So what do you think gals? Have you tried MAC's Pink Nouveau? Do you think it suits me?
What more shades can you suggest?

MAC Venomous Villains

I was hopping around my blogroll and lo behold, swatches and reviews for the MAC Venomous Villains collection. Im not a MAC kinda girl, but some products made me want to buy!

Things I would like to get from this collection:

• Lipstick in Violetta
• Beauty Powder in Oh So Fair

Rant: MAC Studio Sculpt Foundation

I usually put different foundations on hubby to try on when he's asleep, and he never had any qualms. 

This is the first time he really HATED something that I put on his face. He was all
"hey why does my face feel so heavy" "why is this so sticky" "why is this so itchy"

well everything he said was true.

According to MAC's description, this was supposed to be light and gel-like. But the texture? More mousse-lotion like, very difficult to blend and feels sticky all the way, even when set with a loose powder.

We hated this foundation, besides that it was too dark for my skintone. I got it in NC30 and it was way tooo yellow and tooo dark.. Im starting to think Im an NW25 now. Coverage wise, Legere BB cream has greater coverage than this one. Heck even my F21 stick foundation lasted longer and had better coverage.

Here's a picture of my hubby, half with the MAC foundation on, which he washed of to the bathroom right away.

Can you imagine? He was in a deep sleep and the sticky ickyness woke him up?
