Century Park Hotel Welcomes the Holidays with Its “Century Express” Christmas Tree Lighting

The holiday season officially arrived at Century Park Hotel as it hosted its Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at the Atrium Lounge—an event many look forward to every year. This time, guests were welcomed into a magical “Century Express” celebration, a theme inspired by the timeless charm of The Polar Express.

Walking into the atrium felt like stepping into a Christmas storybook. The highlight, of course, was the towering 43-foot Christmas tree, beautifully decked in blue and silver ornaments. At the middle of the tree ran a grand Polar Express train circling around it—a nostalgic, whimsical centerpiece that instantly transported everyone back to those childhood holiday dreams. Snow effects fell from above, garlands and nutcracker standees added charm, and twinkling lights wrapped the pillars and trees, completing the winter wonderland feel.

“This year’s theme, Century Express, captures the essence of Christmas as a journey filled with joy, hope, and cherished memories,” shared Anna Dimagiba, Century Park Hotel’s OIC for Operations. “Just like the Polar Express story, our hotel continues to be a place where guests can experience warmth, wonder, and timeless traditions.”

The ceremony was attended by Dr. Lucio Tan, Chairman of Lucio Tan Group, Inc. (LTGI), his family, and this year’s special guest, Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso. Together, they led the official lighting of the grand Christmas tree—an enchanting moment that set the tone for the night. Afterward, guests enjoyed festive carols, a delightful cocktail buffet, and the warm company of media friends, sister companies, and the hotel’s top clients.
