Palawan Group holds “Gintong Lingkod” awards for long-serving employees
As the Palawan Group of Companies continues to grow across the country, the company recently turned the spotlight on the people who helped shape its journey over the decades.
A total of 61 employees celebrating their 20th, 25th, and 30th year with the company were honored during “Gintong Lingkod: Pinagtibay ng Panahon, Pinakinang ng Dedikasyon,” a recognition program held on April 15, 2026 at the Princesa Garden Island Resort.
The awardees, along with their families, were flown to Puerto Princesa City and welcomed with a red carpet experience as part of the celebration. The event was attended by the company’s founders, Board of Directors, and key leaders, recognizing employees for their long-standing service and commitment to the company’s culture of integrity, humility, and customer care.
In her welcome remarks, Korina Castro-Fernando thanked the awardees for helping bring the company’s mission to communities across the country.
“Mapalad tayo dahil habang tayo ay nagtatrabaho para ating mga pamilya, tayo rin ay nakakapag-ambag sa ating mahal na Pilipinas. May natutulungan tayong mga komunidad, may natutulungan tayong mga kababayan at kapwa Pilipino. Sa bawat transaksyon o serbisyo, may buhay tayong naabot, may pag-asang naipaparating,” she said.
The message was echoed by Palawan Group co-founder and deputy chairman Angelita Castro, who praised the awardees not only for their years of service, but for the values they carried throughout their careers.
“What makes me most proud is not just how long you have stayed, but how you have carried yourselves through the years. You embody integrity, dedication, and genuine care for one another, for our company, and above all, for the customers and communities we serve,” she shared.
She added that the employees’ dedication to serving fellow Filipinos helped the company grow while remaining grounded in compassion and service.
Several awardees also shared personal stories during the program, reflecting on how their years with the company shaped both their professional and personal lives.
Among them was Grace Balolong, a 20-year service awardee who rose through the ranks to become the company’s Finance Head.
“My path has not been flawless. I encountered setbacks, made mistakes, and faced moments of uncertainty. Yet every challenge became a lesson, and every failure pushed me to strive for excellence,” she said. “I am truly grateful to the Palawan Group.”
Each awardee received a certificate along with commemorative Palawan gold tokens based on their years of service, including gold coins and bars ranging from one to three grams. Employees were accompanied on stage by loved ones as they received their awards from company leaders.
The Gintong Lingkod program forms part of the Palawan Group’s broader efforts to build a workplace culture where employees are recognized, supported, and celebrated for their contributions through the years.
