Review: The Balm Time Balm Concealer
Apologies to the nasty nails |
After featuring Bobbi Brown’s shimmer brick, I’m so happy to present to all of you, another unsung hero of mine. The most awesome concealer ever. One of the things I can’t leave at home. My on the spot emergency tool to the rescue…. The Balm’s Time Balm.. Oh if you have time please check out my new random cravings blog; Glutton on a Diet
According to their website:
and yes, it does all it says. It seems to prevent my eyes from having those nasty fine lines, and also in lightening
the nasty shadows. They forgot to include in the site description that their concealer also contains Vitamin K, the common ingredient in expensive eyecreams.
This pot is almost a year old now and being used daily, hasnt made a dent yet or hit the pan |
It has a creamy texture that’s not too thin and not too thick. It really covers very well and when set with a powder, even an ordinary baby powder, it lasts until you wash your face. Tried tested and proven! 😉
A little dab goes a long way and it blends naturally on your skin. It doesnt dry to a powder finish so it doesnt cake, it’s also not oily so it doesnt crease and go to fine lines. In short, this concealer is almossst perfect!
I have tried several concealers already. Liquid, powder, cream, mousse, pencils. And from several brands that are too many to mention. But the product that’s nearly close to how this works is from Cinema Secrets, which is even more expensive!
I got the shade in light-medium that works well on yellow toned fair-light skin. But basing on the last photo, it looks a tad bit orange on me.
Before.. Yuck.. scars… |
After |
I think I need to get a new shade |
I heard from an SA at Beauty Bar that they’re discontinuing the distribution of The Balm line at their store, which sucks so much as they have really great products. It will be replaced by Dashing Diva products. *sobs* Looks like I’m gonna get my stocks on pre-orders again soon. So while there’s still supply at Beauty Bar, I suggest you grab yourself a pot; please leave some for me ^_^;
Oh, and if you have no time to shop, you can shop online and there’s still The Balm products there
