4 Different Ways to Consume CBD

CBD is becoming a more popular alternative for therapeutic treatments as opposed to traditional medication. If you’re looking for a new way to help some of your ailments, such as insomnia, loss of appetite, or chronic pain, you may want to consider this organic and holistic alternative. 

After consulting with your doctor, the next step is to decide what CBD you should take and the method you should use. Here are four basic ways to ingest CBD.

1. Inhalation

One of the most common methods is inhalation. This can be done through smoking or vaping the CBD product. Some dispensaries offer different flavored cartridges of vape-friendly CBD products. If you’re inclined to try smoking it, you can usually buy it as a stand-alone product and roll it yourself.

The same applies to edibles. However, edibles are a good option for people who don’t like pills or smoking. Edibles can come in many forms, such as gummies, baked goods, drinks, candy, and food additives.

4. Sublingual

Sublingual is just a fancy way of saying usage under the tongue. Generally, patients hold a sublingual medication under the tongue until it’s dissolved. From there, it will mix with your saliva and quickly absorb into your bloodstream through the tissue there. Sublingual CBD generally comes in the form of an oil or dissolvable tablet.

This is also a quick method of absorbing the product and is generally used among patients who suffer from anxiety since it works quickly. However, as a downside, it does have a slightly earthy taste which you may not tolerate.
