[Event] Being a Single Mom & Sangobion Go Life Go Love

Hello there! How was your weekend? Mine was particularly busy because it’s almost the start of Geof’s pre-school and as a single working mommy schedule is extra tight! Last Friday I had to go tend to his enrollment, and the weekend was filled with shopping frenzy buying his needs for school.

To my readers who’ve been following my blog for quite some time. I’m sure you’d recall that moment where I had to halt my blogging because of all the challenges I’ve faced (circa 2011-2012). You can read the full story here.

My ex-husband, Jeff, left me and baby Geof for another woman  (whom he eventually broke up with because he has another brand new girlfriend now). It frustrates me that he doesnt even care about his son and treats us as if we were robots answering “K” and “ok” when we send photos or send voice messages. It’s as if his minimal financial support is enough to be able to say he is a “father”. He doesn’t show concern or even ask updates on how his son is doing. I don’t even know why I am putting up an effort, if not only for Geof. Because my son still needs a father and no one can replace his real dad.

To balance being a mom, and working at the same time to provide for your family is tough. Often there are times we can tend to forget about taking care of ourselves because there’s simply not enough time or we put ourselves last as a priority. I am blessed to have a supportive family who helps me through all my ups and downs.

A couple of weeks ago, I attended Sangobion’s Go Life Go Love event held at Makati Shangrila. It was filled with women who’s encouraged to well, love life, particularly their own. I recall when I gave birth to Geof and I had to return to work right away, my OB-Gyne prescribed me to take Sangobion (actually she gave me 2 months supply for FREE! She’s the sweetest ever) so that I can have enough energy to sustain working and tending to Geof. You can imagine having to work during the day, and wake up several times at night to breastfeed Geof. (I’m a supporter of breastfeeding and there is no reason or excuse not to breastfeed your child unless you don’t have breasts anymore).  On my experience taking Sangobion, it has given me more energy, less dizziness, less fatigue and just generally feel better over-all even with all the external stresses being a single working mom has given me.

Well back to the Sangobion event, hosted by the beautiful Kelly Misa with special guests like Cheska Garcia and Jenni Epperson. The event showed that even as busy women, we should never neglect ourselves. They even treated the guests with a nice pampering mani/pedi session right after the event. We pledged, as a Sangobion woman, not to forget about loving ourselves too!

This is the kind of self-empowerment
that Sangobion® (Ferrous gluconate + vitamins and minerals) would like to
advocate to women all over. The demands of modern life often make women feel
pressured both at home and at work – making it easy for women to neglect
themselves. The Sangobion Go Love Life! campaign reminds women that while we
take care of others, we must not forget to take care of ourselves as well. When
we are at our best selves, then we can lead a life that we love.
The event demonstrated to women how regularly
taking time off and boosting your health with Sangobion® can help you to go and
love life. Unlike other iron supplements, Sangobion contains Ferrous gluconate,
an organic iron, which is absorbed better by the body to help fight the signs
of iron deficiency. Each capsule is chocolate-scented that leaves no iron
after-taste.  Sangobion® also contains
essential vitamins and minerals such as Vitamin C, Folic acid, Vitamin B12,
Copper, and Manganese to build healthy red blood cells and immune system. It
also contains sorbitol which acts as anti-constipating agent that generally
occurs in iron supplementation.

Furthermore, Sangobion® helps fight signs
of iron deficiency like fatigue, paleness, dizziness, and lack of focus and
concentration which women experience when they neglect themselves. Taking
Sangobion® everyday can help you boost your iron, so that you can look and be
at your best.
The launch was also the kick-off for Sangobion’s
15-day challenge. In addition to taking Sangobion® everyday for 15 days, these
women also made the pledge to practice loving themselves first and to encourage
other women to do the same.
Sangobion® is also partnering with
select establishments to treat women to special pocket events including a shopping
spree and a makeover session, which are expected to draw in more women to the
cause.
Sangobion’s new efforts truly show
women that caring for others also means having a healthy relationship with
yourself.  It’s about loving yourself
first so you can fully embrace the life you lead.
