Experience: Le Petite Souffle at Century City Mall Makati
This is the highest ranking restaurant on Zomato that’s located in Century City Mall. I’m a closet zomato-freak and checkout the reviews and ratings there first before trying out a new place to eat. Le Petit Souffle is a casual dining restaurant that serves French-Japanese fusion cuisine. Perfect timing that my friends PhyPhy (Phylicia Marie of phyliciamarie.com) and Hana-bebe (Hana of dollhana.com) are starving after an event where L’Oreal Philippines launches their first Filipina brand ambassadors.
Since we’re not alta de siodad aka high society. We’re not
pretentious either LOL so we opted for the budgetarian lunch set menu that
costs only 450php. This includes the salad, main course, and dessert. You know
me, I’m still hungry so I ordered a separate deep fried mushrooms and guava
yakult juice as appetizers and drinks.

Their salad is fresh served with mandarin oranges, radish, and has a olive oil vinaigrette/sesame dressing that you’d forget they’re vegetables. It’s the perfect starter to make you want to eat more!
Deep Fried Mushrooms – These were perfectly fried crisp and addictingly delicious. This is meant to be shared as too much is an oil slick.
Mine was the Squid Ink Paella (450php) generously served with squid, shrimp, crabs, and fish
topped with an omelette.
topped with an omelette.
Phyphy’s was Mac and Cheese
Hana’s was Pork Bourguignon – it looks like it has mushrooms bacon, and braised pork knuckles. This also is topped on rice.
Their dessert is soft-served ice cream slash custard that tastes like a lighter version of Rita’s Iced Custard
Everything was umami
and umamay. It was too savoury and tasty that it had a certain umay factor. To
those who are conyo and not familiar with the word “umay”. Umay is a tagalog
slang that means “It’s too good, I get sick of it easily” Even if each meal was
meant for one, the serving was still big enough to share. This is perfect if
you’re dining in groups and want to taste each of their best sellers. Will I
dine here again? Yes. I loved my yakult drink and mushroom fritters. Id come
back here to snack, but not for their
main dishes. I wonder if their pastas are any good?

Have you tried dining
at Le Petit Souffle? How was it for you?
