How To Make Hair Color Last: Products Guaranteed To Prevent Fading

I’ve been receiving a lot of questions from readers who are into frequent hair coloring as I am. This can also be applicable if you’re using hair styling tools. How do we make our hair color last longer? What products can we use to prevent fading. Well, today I’m sharing with you my 2 favorite products that can help. Don’t worry, it won’t burn your wallet. Clairol Shimmer Lights Shampoo and Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Conditioner.

WHERE TO BUY? At @diyhairph on instagram. Use the code KIKAYSIKAT to get 5% off.

Ordinary tap water we use in bathing has oxides that makes hair turn rusty or yellow (if bleached/colored) in time. This is quite annoying, especially if your hair is in cooler tones like silver, platinum, blue or purple. I’ve tried 3 Purple Shampoos to find out which one is the best and the winner is Clairol Shimmer Lights Shampoo. Whilst the old lady scent, it works in toning the hair and keeps it cool.

I got this out on a whim after dying my hair because I read great reviews on this online. It comes in a smart squeeze tube bottle that dispenses the product from the bottom. It smells great and easy to rinse off. It claims to protect your hair color 10x than other conditioners. Guess what? It works. When I color my hair brights like purple, pinks, greens or blues. Just a couple of weeks and color fades from my hair faster than a cat sheds her fur.

My Sparks Purple Passion Hair Color (you can also buy this at DIY HAIR PH), the color lasted bright for 6 weeks already with barely noticeable fadings (see below photo). It doesn’t leave hair as soft as other conditioners do, but it does work miracles in protecting it from damage. SPARKS also is the longest lasting hair color I have EVER tried.

Thank you for reading! I hope this helps you in some way for your quest to make your hair color last! If you know any other cool products, recommend it by commenting below!

I had my hair coloured last January (light brown and blonde combined yata) and have been using the sulfate-free shampoo I bought from Human Nature. I honestly don’t care much about keeping the color last kase mas problema ko yung dryness ng buhok ko. LOL ^-^ Pero thanks sa info na to, Miss Kaycee. Pag nagpa-color siguro ako ng platinum, eto gagamitin kong conditioner.

Hehe ok lang yan as long as hindi extreme yung colors mo like blue or pink hindi naman madali mag fade yan 🙂
