These HBO Max ‘Travel Shows’ Will Make You Want to Book a Flight

I have a growing list of places I want to visit.

Some were recommended by friends. Some came from Instagram. Surprisingly, some ended up there because of TV shows.

One episode later, I’m already Googling where it was filmed, checking airfare, and wondering if I can squeeze another destination into next year’s plans.

If you’re the same, here are a few HBO Max shows that might inspire your next adventure.

The White Lotus

This show is basically tourism marketing disguised as a drama.

Every season makes me want to pack a suitcase. Hawaii. Sicily. Thailand. The hotels are gorgeous, the scenery is unreal, and even if the characters are complete disasters, you still end up thinking, “I want to go there.”

House of the Dragon

I wish we had dragons in real life (hehe), but the filming locations are just as impressive.

The castles, old towns, cliffs, and coastlines immediately make you want to visit Europe. Half the time I was watching, I found myself wondering, “Saan kaya ‘to?”

The Last of Us

Not exactly a travel show unless your ideal vacation involves mushroom-borne zombies.

But underneath all the action are some surprisingly beautiful landscapes. Mountains, forests, small towns, open highways; it reminds you how stunning nature can be, even in a post-apocalyptic world.

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms

If you’re still not over Game of Thrones (I will never), this is another one to add to your watchlist. I love the cute chemistry between Dunk and Egg! ^_^ 

It’s like the “wholesome” version of GOT, with a lot more heart!

Expect more castles, medieval villages, sweeping landscapes, and enough gorgeous scenery to make you wish Westeros came with a tourist visa.

My Favorite Kind of Weekend

These days, I don’t always have time to travel.

Between work, content creation, and being a mom, some weekends are simply for staying home, ordering food, and bingeing on my favorite movies and shows.
