Vol. 1 Viral makeup products that are worth the hype

Hi everyone! Ladies, gentlemen, and anyone who’s in between. So last week we featured viral products that were “not worth the hype”. This week, for fair and balance, we’re featuring viral beauty products that are worth the hype!

For this week’s post we feature ByBen who works at Sephora and is a Beauty Tiktoker. ByBen ran through some of his favourite products that he already tried and tested to be true.

On Kikaysikat, we’ll be featuring various fashion, beauty, makeup and skincare influencers from all over the globe! I realised that it’s nice to share a platform and that sharing not just my thoughts, but from others – in written format would be amazing. Dont you think? 🙂

Disclaimer: What worked for me, for them, for us, may not work for anyone else so please take these thoughts with a grain of salt. ALSO nothing against the products or brands because everything shared here are honest opinions only.

Vol. 1 Viral makeup products that are worth the hype

Rare Beauty Liquid Blush

Price: 23usd

Product Description: A weightless, long-lasting liquid blush that blends and builds beautifully for a soft, healthy flush, available in matte and dewy finishes.

Why worth the hype? This is proof that what works for someone may work differently for another person. Last week, Rare Beauty liquid blush was listed as “not worth the hype”, but I also said I begged to differ as I own a few Rare Beauty blushes myself. I love how easy they are to blend, pigmented, and a little goes a long way – it has superb longevity too. Colours are varied to and caters from warm, neutral and cool.

Huda Beauty Loose Setting Powder

Price: 38usd

Product Description: An easy-to-use, finely milled loose powder that holds makeup in place all day for a natural and airbrushed finish. What it does: The weightless, silky texture blends seamlessly into skin and helps controls shine throughout the day for a long-lasting, natural finish.

Why worth the hype? Sets, blurs and brightens.

Makeup Forever Artist Color Pencil

Price: 22usd

Product Description: Make Up For Ever Artist Color Pencils are incredibly versatile, highly pigmented makeup pencils in an array of beautiful colours designed to use for eyes, lips, brows and all over the body. Key Features: A tapered tip allows for precise application whilst the soft formula easily glides on without dragging the skin.

Why worth the hype? Get the shade Anywhere But Caffeine, according to ByBen, it’s the same shade Hayley Bieber also uses. Aside from the lips, it’s also a multipurpose liner that can be used for the rest of your face (cheeks, eyes) because it’s creamy and pigmented.

Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb

Price: 21usd

Product Description: Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer delivers explosive shine, in seven universal shades handpicked by Rihanna herself to be the ultimate finishing touch to any look. One luscious swipe of Gloss Bomb’s XXL wand gives lips more to love, while conditioning shea butter enriches from within.

The non-sticky formula is super shiny, and has an addictive peach-vanilla scent you just can’t get enough of.

Why worth the hype? Superb formula. They’re non-sticky, high shine, and surprisingly last all-day despite being a lip gloss. ByBen’s favorite shade is Flacy.

Sephora Collection Colorful Blushes

Price: 14usd

Product Description: An Intensely Colored Blush with a super-fine texture. Colorful Blush reveals all the power of its color from the first swipe. With its extra-fine and lightweight powdery film, this blush delivers intense and buildable color.

Why worth the hype? They come in 12 different shades and in 2 different finishes: soft matte and shimmer. The shade no. 6 or Floated Up is used by celebrities like Kylie Jenner.
