When I first heard of the word “Sebo” I immediately thought of “Oil” since the word sebo means oil also in Filipino. Who would expect the word actually came from a French Ancestry. Yves Rocher is a famous French skincare brand that’s available here in the Philippines. I will be reviewing their latest line for oily skin. It claims to minimize pores, control oil, and target acne. Does it do what it claims? Let’s see.
I was able to try their Sebo Vegetal 7-day sampler which includes the following products:
- Sebo Vegetal Purifying Micellar Water 2 in 1 – 495php 200ml
- Sebo Vegetal Pore Minimizing Serum – 1195 30ml
- Sebo Vegetal Zero Blemish Gel Cream – 795php 50ml
Sebo Vegetal Purifying Micellar Water 2 in 1 Review
The toner has a cool feel on the face, and has a mild grassy scent. I didn’t see any instant or long-term difference after using this for 7 days. It made my face feel cleaner, yes. I prefer using this at night rather than daytime because even if it is marketed as a toner or cellular water, it gave a sticky feeling on my skin upon use making it a bit uncomfortable to layer on with makeup.
Ingredients: Aqua/water/eau, methylpropanediol, centaurea cyanus flower water, butylene glycol, peg-40 glyceryl cocoate, phenoxyethanol, benzyl alcohol, sodium coceth sulfate, oleth-20, parfum/fragrance, scutellaria baicalensis root extract, caprylyl glycol, sodium benzoate, tetrasodium edta, citric acid, potassium sorbate.

Sebo Vegetal Pore Minimizing Serum Review
Another ironic product. It’s a serum that is suppose to mattify the face but it still leaves a sticky feeling. I didn’t recognize any improvement with my pores or my skin’s oilliness. One reason could be that I have a combination skin rather than oily.
Ingredients: Aqua/water/eau, glycerin, alcohol, silica, dimethicone, hydroxyethyl acrylate/sodium acryloyldimethyl taurate copolymer, zea mays (corn) starch, malic acid, centaurea cyanus flower water, zinc gluconate, aphloia theiformis leaf extract, sodium hydroxide, salicylic acid, parfum/fragrance, scutellaria baicalensis root extract, sodium benzoate, potassium sorbate, citric acid.

Sebo Vegetal Zero Blemish Gel Cream Review
Out of all 3 products that I have tested this is my favorite. It helped dried out that one cystic pimple on my chin and works as a nice day mattifyer to keep your face shin-free. It controlled a bit of oil on my nose and cheeks for a good half a day’s worth but I’m not so sure if that’s a good thing. Oil production help keep our skin younger as we age. I guess having combination skin, this doesn’t do well for me. People with oily skin would probably appreciate this product more

What I think?
The set, unfortunately is not for me. I would gladly try other Yves Rocher products from their line but I don’t think I would be repurchasing this one.
Who do I recommend this to?
Girls and guys with oily skin should give this a try.
