Pamper Experience with Zen Institute and Gorgeous Cosmetics and a Personal Side Note
![]() |
Everyone was listening attentively and actually excited to have our treatments and makeover. |
Last July 22nd, I actually had to take a personal leave from work because I wanted to attend several events cramped in one day. The first one was the launch of Nina’s latest fragrance, La Tentation, the next one was Clothes Buffet Manila’s Press Launch + Mini Buffet, and the last one was this one. The last event, Gorgeous Cosmetics and Zen Institute‘s Pamper Day was perfect timing, since they were the last, and they were to treat us to a pampering session.
While waiting for the other bloggers to arrive due to the strong winds and rain, I had the chance to have a little chit-chat with my co-bloggers Shen from shensaddiction.com and Jirbie of Couch Wasabi, and Ms. Michelle, owner of Orangebox and official Philippine distributor of Gorgeous cosmetics. Life as a single mom, a mom, and the challenges of being a woman and having our tiis ganda moments when Jirbie shared her experience of having a temporary eyebrow tattoo.
It was finally time for the brief discussion of Zen Institute on their services. They are specializing on non-surgical procedures for skin and body. Especially their skin treatments to keep it looking young. They mentioned a service where they use your own blood as base for your face-lift. Talk about innovation.

Michelle discussing the history of Gorgeous Cosmetics |
When it was Gorgeous Cosmetics‘ turn, Michelle discussed the history of Gorgeous Cosmetics. Based on Australia and created by makeup artist, David McConnell. Make no mistake, Gorgeous Cosmetics might be a professional makeup brand catering to makeup artists but WE regular makeup muses are free to use their products too!
When it was my turn, their makeup artist, Margaux Reyes was the one in charge of giving me a makeover. She gave me a subtle smokey eye with nude lips. She used the Base Perfect Liquid Foundation on my skin and completed my look with Gorgeous Eyelashes (which is made of natural hair and can be re-used for up to 10 times!)
I was stunned with their Base Perfect Liquid foundation (1900php), it really felt like I had nothing on (my face, haha!) I also heard great things on their contour palette.

Wow sounds promising! Yeah, stress makes us ugly! I always think of happy thoughts kapag nandyan na ang stress! Btw, FB page link is broken.

I am always fascinated when bloggers unite. When they go to events together. I dream of becoming one of the top bloggers someday. Thanks for inspiring me Ms. Kat! 🙂

Never really liked a heavy makeup feel on my face. It's great to discover a new foundation that doesn't do that. 😀
