I had one of my friends ask me the other day “Kaycee, how can you manage to effortlessly hustle all your responsibilities?”
I told her it may not be obvious on social media all the time but living everyday, as a single-mom with Bipolar II disorder is HARD. It’s a battle that has to be won every single day.

Today I’d like to share a few of the things I do to lessen our worries in life a bit. You can try one, both, or all three!
Tip #1: Good Food
Now there’s eating for sustenance, and eating for satisfaction. I’m guilty of doing the latter. I CANNOT, CANNOT EAT BAD FOOD. It doesn’t matter if it’s from a Jolijeep or in a 5-star restaurant. As long as it tastes good, it can instantly perk up my mood.
Tip #2: Working Out
Syempre we have to balance all that food with regular workout. I exercise not just for the body but also for my mind and emotional well-being. Physical activities like working out lets our bodies produce natural stress-busting, happy hormones called Oxytocin!
Nag-workout ka na, sumaya ka pa!
Tip #3: Washing the Dishes
I HATE DOING HOUSEHOLD CHORES EXCEPT FOR WASHING DISHES.
and there’s a reason for that.
Did you know washing dishes can calm your mind?
A new study published in the journal Mindfulness reports that dishwashing is a great way to relieve stress and it can actually boost mental well-being.
Mindfulness coupled with household chores can make for a happier and less stressed you. “The sheer monotony and physical nature of washing-up, coupled with the sense of achievement gained from completing a simple act, makes us feel good,” says Dr. Aric Sigman, a researcher.
Syempre when I do the dishes, ayoko ng basta basta lang. Yung mama ko pinapagalitan ko pag gumagamit ng LAUNDRY BAR! Kaloka! Mas lalo ako ma-stress sa mga sebo na natitira, saka amoy bareta. Ewww…
Kaya lagi akong may stock ng best ever Joy Dishwashing Concentrate. I’m sure my dishes are squeaky clean! Ready na ulit para gamitin sa food. Hahaha o diba!
Here’s a picture of macho kid, teasing me na mag-hugas na daw ako ng pinggan HAHAHAHA
