Last week I was invited by BETADINE® to attend their “I do it twice a week; Clean is the new sexy” campaign to promote proper feminine hygeine and make us, women more aware on the do’s and dont’s of taking our vajayjays. Yes let’s call our hoo-hoos or vagina vajayjay as Oprah coined the term years ago. Little do they know that I always and have been using BETADINE® ever since I got my period because my mom is a fan. The discussion about how to take care of our vajayjay was my favorite part. Here’s some of what I’ve remembered during the talk:
- We need a perfect balance of bacteria in our vagina. Too much glycogen or glucose will make us prone to infection.
- Everyone has secretion, it should be clear to almost clear. Yellowish, to green with a foul smell is a sign of infection and you need to get yourself checked!
- Panty liners aren’t so bad. It’s recommended to change everytime it gets wet so around 2-4x in a day. It’s made to help us stay dry and prevent bacterial vaginosis and other types of infection.
