Last week I received the BDJ Box for November 2014 and it was thrilling to see the best selling products of benefit in the box that includes The Big Easy. I swore to myself that when I get hold of Benefit Cosmetics again even if they are just in sample form I will make a Best of Benefit Cosmetics 2014 series and the first one will be reviewing The Big Easy. It claims to be better than BB cream. Read on for the detailed review.

 How to Apply

I just put dots around my face and slather it on. It’s quite easy peasy and breezy to blend with it’s mousse like texture.

What I Like

Or what oily-skinned ladies would like! It’s a BB cream with a matte finish. A rare gem in the numerous BB that leaves skin dewy *cough*oily*
The squeeze tube is very hygienic and provides the right amount each time
I have the .1oz sample size and it lasted me 1 week of daily use
High SPF protection of SPF35, if you want a non-sticky way to protect your skin from the sun then this is it. This also does not give the promise other asian BB creams like anti-aging, skin whitening, and other magical claims.  If you have “large pore” problem, this is a BB cream for you because it works and acts like a silicone primer that blurs these issues.

If you have dry skin, be careful because it settles into fine lines and will make you look older.

What Could Be Improved

Coverage. BB creams are known to have impressive coverage that can handle small acne marks or spots and this one lacks in that area.

Tips and Tricks

Blend quick! Despite having a mousse like creamy texture, it dries to powder pretty fast so with nimble fingers don’t leave it on without blending ASAP or else it will leave you with spots on your face.

Who do I recommend it to?

I recommend this BB cream for girls who have oily skin. It’s rare to find a BB Cream that dries to a matte powder finish and this is it. Most BB and CC creams I know even if they claim to control oil still has that dewy moist finish that oily-skinned girls won’t appreciate as much (I love that thou!)

Oh, I also DIY-ed colored my hair Hot Hot Pink from Manic Panic that I got from funkystreaks.com. It’s so easy to use with my already bleached hair with highlights I got from Basement Salon 2 weeks ago (I was disappointed with them because I asked for bluish purple highlights and they gave me RED instead) and turned WHITE within 5 days (not even shampooing!)
I just slathered it on my hair and combed it. Left it for 30 minutes and rinsed with cold water and tada! Nice bright pink highlights that glows in the dark. I think I’m beginning to enjoy coloring my hair DIY and would experiment on other colors in the future.

What color do you think I should dye it next?
