Would you agree? Especially when you find that perfect color that suits your face; then buy the same shade over and over again in different brands. HAHA! ~guilty~ Today we’ll review a breakthrough lipstick from top Korean makeup brand CLIO. Their Rouge Heel Velvet Lipstick (SRP: 850 php). I love it so much I made a detailed video apart from this written review. Why?

a. Normal – Apply directly to lips.
b. Ombre – Start in the center of lips and smooth outwards toward corners of mouth.

Review

Packaging – The case is a retractable push type. Where you simply push the bottom to take off the cap. It’s chic and snappy, but also not secure. I notice the cap gets loose easily inside my makeup bag.
Coverage – Opaque and saturated. You do get much color in one swipe. If you want a more subtle look just apply on the center of your lips and blend outwards for that ombre gradient effect.
Texture – If you ever touched velvet on your fingertips, that’s how this lipstick feels on your lips. Luxurious and smooth. A bit powdery, without any trace of shine, glitter or oil.
Scent – Faint floral that fades as soon as you swipe
Longevity – If you’ve seen my wear test on my video above, it lasted 6+ hours tops. That already includes drinking and eating without any retouch. It leaves a nice stain and fades off evenly.

Final Thoughts – Overall, this lipstick is a BUY for me. Rating it 4 out of 5 stars. I’d love to give it a 5 if only for the unsecured casing.
