Start planning your wardrobe for Autumn Winter 2012-13 now.  It may seem early but stores’ AW collections will be in stores before you know it.  Check out which colour combinations will work for you this Autumn/Winter.  You can even check your wardrobe for anything a bit old which you can recycle!
Being Colour Clever

Whether you’re a man or woman, having a great look is always about garments, fabrics and colours which work well together to create one look.  Unfortunately men don’t always get this.  One great item won’t lift an overall look of tired, lethargic clothes.  In fact, that great pair of jeans you chose will just blend in with the rest of your attire.  Bland it is, then.
Fashion in Technicolour

Bland it most certainly is not for Autumn/Winter 2012-13.  Key colour trends give clear indicators for how men can build their look to deliver a show stopping style and appearance at all times.
Create yourself a rustic, “man of the countryside” look with classic autumnal shades and patterns.  Try pairing a dark, red tartan shirt with an understated mustard cardigan for a classic colour contrast.  This look can easily be enhanced with a heavier knit on top of the initial two layers, dark beige or a tan brown works well here.  For a traditional country gentleman look, add a classic dark brown flat cap with a scarf.  If you’re base layer is visible, keep your look sharp by ensuring the hat matches the outer layer colour, the scarf matches the base layer.
Paint yourself as a casual trend setter by combining subtle shades of classic colours.  Soft yet unusual shades of blue, green, purple and pink can be put together in many combinations to create a casual yet sharp on trend look.  Try a washed purple base layer, something simple such as a plain t-shirt or vest works perfectly.  Combine this with a lighter, patterned contrast shirt buttoned only halfway.  Throw an unusual or multi shaded green heavy knit cardigan on top.  If you can nail the shirt pattern being the prominent fixture in this outfit, you’ve got the look!
