Honest Review Canyon Woods Tagaytay with Photos and Rates
Hello everyone! Today I’ll be featuring Canyon Woods Tagaytay as part of my staycation series on the blog. My son and I absolutely love to pamper ourselves by checking-in different hotels and clear our thoughts of everything. It’s the first out of town trip with my macho kid and he was so ecstatic that I invited him to come with me. Why? Because besides staying in the hotel we’ll also be attending the 20th Anniversary of Canyon Woods.
The post will be image heavy and will also include a video tour courtesy of my VLOG on KIKAYSIKAT TV

The beds are comfy and firm with enough pillows to hug. You also get 2 bathrobes, 2 towels, and set of toiletries.
Is it a pro or a con? They do not have Wi-Fi and the internet reception is slow on both Smart and Globe networks.
- Con if you’re someone like me who needs to be connected 24/7.
- Pro if you want to detoxify and disconnect from technology.
CANYON WOODS CELEBRATE THEIR 20TH ANNIVERSARY
Geof and I dressed up in matching filipiniana barongs to attend the 20th anniversary celebration of Canyon Woods. He’s my handsome date!
It was a lively night with delicious food and drinks served. VIP members were guests in the party.

BREAKFAST
One of the best parts of staying in is BREAKFAST! My favorite part oThey serve a hearty spread of filipino food. Ranging from tapa, tocino, longganisa. They even have champorado and tuyo flakes! OMG winner yung champorado and tuyo it was my favorite meal in the entire trip.
ACTIVITIES AND THINGS TO DO
You can play billiards
Or have pop corn and watch a movie in their mini cinema
Their heated indoor pool is also very welcoming. Geof enjoyed swimming here. Shucks I forgot to bring swimwear that’s why I wasn’t able to join him huhu.
They also have a chapel if you want solemn and solitude.
They even have playgrounds for team building activities!
LUNCH
For lunch, I had Sisig Rice while Geof ordered the usual Pancake Set Meal with Bacon. The egg on top of my rice was perfectly cooked, over-easy. It has a strong taste of ginger, I hope they lessen that next time as it was over powering the taste of the meat.
I wish I ordered the pancake meal instead. Their honeycured bacon was cooked crisp and just right. The pancakes were soft and fluffy just the way macho kid likes em.
Don’t judge me! I was craving for sinfully salty food so on top of the sisig rice, I had crispy tenga pa! It was chewy aka makunat and missing the crisp I was looking for. Pero it was seasoned well naman. The restaurant’s menu is quite vast from japanese to korean to filipino. I bet there’s a winner there somewhere!
Best part of this trip? It was the first time that I brought my baby Geof to an out of town blog event. Our children grow so fast we don’t even realize it, come next time. Binata na sila and we’ll miss them being babies. He’s growing na nga e huhu. He’s no longer a baby and wants to be called a macho kid.
If you’re looking for a place to unwind and get away. Detoxify yourself from technology and disconnect. I highly recommend Canyon Woods. You get a beautiful view of the taal lake, you’re surrounded in trees and you breath fresh air.
