How to Know if you are in a Dead-End Relationship

Choosing someone to spend your life with isn’t a decision people take lightly – it’s a big one.  There is a lot of pressure put on people to be in a relationship these days, for whatever reason which means that certain people stay in relationships even if it isn’t quite right for them.  Doing this can actually prevent you from finding the right person for you in the long run. We have put together a list of signs that your relationship might be in trouble.

Are you Trying to Fix Them?

This is a sure-fire sign that there’s something not quite right.  You often find that people start relationships with people who they see as good potential but are “fixer uppers” – in that you want to make changes to them in order for them to be more like how you want them.  That is never a great way to go forward in a relationship and suggests you aren’t happy with the person the way they are.

Your Partner isn’t Committing

Obviously, there is no one size fits all in terms of how quickly your relationship moves along – but if you think there is a lack of commitment there, or it’s not moving as quickly as you would like, this could also be a sign that things aren’t working as they should be. It could be an indication that your other half doesn’t want to make things serious, or that you both want different things.  Marriage and kids aren’t for everyone – and a difference in opinion can cause irreparable damage to your relationship.

There are Some Trust Issues

Trust is an essential part of your relationship. Trusting your partner can mean anything from picking something up from the shops to the more heavy stuff that comes with relationships.  If you don’t trust your partner when it comes to smaller things, there is every chance that this will turn into big things. Lack of trust can cause you to feel unsafe or insecure in your relationship.  You need to get to the root cause of your trust issues which you can do with the help of an online relationship therapist.  At which point, you will be able to know if you can get through it or not.

Are you Ignoring Deal Breakers?

We all have deal breakers when it comes to relationships.  It could be anything from political views to religious beliefs.  It can even be much smaller things. The point is, that they are important to you.  When women get to a certain age and haven’t found a life-long partner yet – that they are picky.  That kind of pressure shouldn’t make you feel that you need to settle for something that you don’t want.  If there is a deal-breaker, don’t ignore.
