Gahhh I have stubborn acne on my chin again. I’m a bit shy to share you the lipstick swatches because you’ll see them huhu. Today, I’ll be featuring Max Factor Velvet Matte Lipsticks. You’re probably seeing them in their respective kiosks and curious on how they fare.
Max Factor Velvet Matte Review & Swatch
Max Factor says…Max Factor has created a new matte lipstick with a unique formula combination that replaces the usual powders found in matte lipsticks with a new reflective pigment – this delivering the diffused matte effect without compromising on the feel. Easily applied without dragging, the Velvet Mattes Lipstick Collection give a beautiful matte look with a velvety soft feel.
The Macho Mom says… Am I the only one getting bored with matte lipsticks already? I miss the days where lips were lush, glossy, and kissable. Most matte lipsticks available in the market are drying. It makes our lips look saturated with color but equally dry. It’s been fun for sometime but it gets tiring. I’m already expecting the same old result. DRY. However, upon swiping these on my puckers, it’s not “matte” but not flat. It has sheen similar to creme lipsticks but it stays on longer. It felt comfortable to wear and it’s not sticky when I close my lips together.
They mentioned their secret ingredient is more mica. Mica is a pigment that provides subtle sheen on cosmetics without looking overly glittery.
My favorite shade among the three that I tried is Blush. It reminds me of NARS Audacious in Michiyo, a cool deep pink.
Max Factor Velvet Matte lipsticks are available this August 🙂
