NYX Pore Filler Review – How to Hide Pores
Did you know that pore-size is not entirely caused by the environment and diet alone? It’s also hereditary. Yup, just like oily skin or acne-prone skin. Large pores is another genetic trait passed on and forward. There are the lucky few who are really born with good skin but some are less fortunate than others. Just like how the Philippines, our country is forever 3rd world, because we are enslaved for more than 300 years, the sheep mentality cannot be erased in snap. (OMG Kaycee stop with the political commentary please this is a beauty blog LOL)
You can help minimize your pore size by having a good skincare regimen and maybe you can also try my DIY Mask for Smaller Looking Pores but what if you need smaller pores in an instant? Well, NYX has the product for you. Oh, and NYX is actually, OFFICIALLY in the Philippines. So no need to buy from resellers with high markups *roll eyes*

WHAT IS NYX PORE FILLER?
According to NYX, it’s a magical agent that minimizes the look of pores to create a smooth, porcelain doll-like finish to your face. Use as a base, wear it alone or over makeup. Price? It’s 14USD around 350php.
INGREDIENTS
Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Silica, Dimethicone, Cyclopentasiloxane, Isononyl Isononanoate, Isododecane, Polymethyl Methacrylate, VP/Hexadecene Copolymer, Trimethylsiloxysilicate, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol. MAY CONTAIN / PEUT CONTENIR (+/-): Mica, Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Iron Oxides (CI 77491, 77492, 77499).
The packaging is quite petite. I got the regular size which has 20ml of product.
SWATCHED ON HAND
It’s flesh-toned when squeezed out but applies invisible.

I’d like to tag NYX Pore Filler as a blur cream as it literally blurs your pores into oblivion as it fills them in. As you can see I tried it on my face in 2 different ways. One with the pore filler, the other is with foundation on top (NARS All-Day Luminous in Fiji). Click the photo to zoom in the pores. It’s in high resolution so you can even see my facial hair. LOL.
REVIEW
Yup. I’m in front of a sari-sari store #itsmorefuninthephilippines |
Packaging – It comes in a small sleek squeeze white tube that’s handy to bring. It has a secure twist-off cap and surprisingly it’s light.
Staying Power – 3 hours on its own. It is not a primer. Do not expect to make your make-up last the entire day. It does its job. Fill pores. I highly suggest using a separate makeup primer if you want your makeup to last. It does not have oil control. I find this nice because not everyone has oily skin and I prefer looking “dewy”
Shade/Finish – applies clear
Texture – Silicone-y and slippery.
Scent – Fragrance-free yay!
Final Thoughts – I recommend this product to ladies who are really troubled and insecure with large pores. As you can see, the product goes deep into your pores and fills it in. Imagine our roads with holes then filled with cement. It does not stay on top but it goes inside so be wary that it as it is a filler and both clogger so use sparingly and with caution. I suggest saving this for special occasions like a photo shoot, first dates, and such. A little goes a long way, use only where needed.

KikaySiKat Rating Scale Guide
1 – It should cease to exist on the planet.
2 – Troublesome. Caused negative reactions for me or made me feel bad.
3 – Boringly blah blah blah. Not good. Not bad. It’s like… nothing…so I’ll just give it away to someone who might like it more than I do.
4 – Wow. Amazeballs. It’s super effective! I’ll keep this in my stash for sure until I find something better.
5 – It’s irreplaceable! *ala Beyonce* (disclaimer:unless it gets discontinued boohoo)
