REVIEW: Althea Petal Velvet Powder
It’s packaged in a tiny cute sifter jar with a pastel pink cover. The powder is fine. Extremely fine. No kidding, this is one of the silkiest powder I felt. It’s very slippery. My thoughts? Silica and silicone, known for its blurring properties are its primary ingredients. It gives it that soft texture while helping minimize the appearance of our pores. Mica makes the skin look softer and glowy. While Hibiscus Extract has anti-oxidants and serves as the skin’s barrier from dehydration.
The puff included is as soft as marshmallows. It makes powder application so comfortable to apply on my skin. You can opt to use a brush if you prefer. I used the Althea Petal Velvet Powder to set my makeup and the results are seen below. I love how its lightweight and doesn’t give off an unpleasant white cast. You can use it on your own for an au naturel look, or over makeup to set makeup and keep oilies at bay.
I can’t help but touch my face immediately after putting this on because it made my skin feel so silky. HAHAHA! The only “downside” I can think of is it only holds 3g of product.
