NARS definitely deserves a 7-day review special. I’ve been using their makeup for YEARS and never took the time of day to write about how good they are. First up for review is their powder foundation which has been my everyday staple since its discovery.
Did you notice how I never seem to have a review for my holy grail powder foundation? I have acidic skin and it’s hard for me to find a foundation that won’t turn me into an oompa loompa by the end of the day. Because I never had one, until today. After tons of trial and error testing different products, I finally found the one and I’m so excited to share it with you.
Review and verdict at the end of the post so read the entirety!

Packaging
It looks dark on the pan but it actually applies pretty light. Fiji can suit those with light-light medium neutral skin tones like mine. It has super duper micro tiny shimmers that are barely noticeable even when zoomed up close. I think this makes your face looks so nice on photos even at night with flash (refer to picture below). Fiji is described as light with yellow undertones. It’s the 4th lightest shade on the sephora scale.
Suggested Usage:
Dry Application:
-Use the sponge side for higher coverage and a more matte finish.
-Use the puff side for sheerer coverage and a more luminous finish.
Wet Application:
-Use for a higher coverage and a polished finish.
-Use sponge side only. Lightly dampen sponge for best results.

Review
Packaging – It’s in a posh black rubberized compact with a compartment for the sponge underneath. What grinds my gears a bit is every time I switch the compartment from compact to sponge, it smashes the product somehow and breaks a bit. It’s available in refills and I think will fit other compacts.
Staying Power – When applied dry, it looks good 4 hours and looks even better 6 hours after. The longer I wear it, the more luminous my face looks. (The natural oil blending with the powder?)
Coverage – This has sheer-medium coverage with fine super fine micro shimmers that when you put it on it makes you look well… well-rested and luminous. If you’re looking for something with high coverage try to find another type. IMO powders are meant to enhance and not cover. If you wan to cover your acne, use a good concealer/foundation like Kevyn Aucoin Sensual Skin Enhancer. This will blur pores and give your face a soft-focused look.
Oil Control – I don’t have oily skin. I am blessed with normal skin (maybe it comes with aging?) BUT with my acidic skin, this is a big deal. This baby does not change color or turn orange even if I’m acidic. Maybe that’s why I made this my holy grail.
Scent – It’s fragrance-free
Will I re-purchase? YES. Heck I love it so much I bought refills because I’m afraid I’ll run out @_@
Who do I recommend this to? EVERYONE. Especially if you have acidic skin like mine. You’re welcome.
Rating: 5/5
KikaySiKat Rating Scale Guide
1 – It should cease to exist on the planet.
2 – Troublesome. Caused negative reactions for me or made me feel bad.
3 – Boringly Bleh. Not good. Not bad. It’s like… nothing…so I’ll just give it away.
4 – Wow. Amazeballs. It’s super effective! I’ll keep this in my stash for sure until I find something better.
5 – It’s irreplaceable! *ala Beyonce* (disclaimer:unless it gets discontinued boohoo)
