Review/Swatch: L’Oreal True Match Blush Pink Marshmallow

What? L’Oreal True Match Blush in Pink Marshmallow
How much does it cost? Dammit I forgot
Where to buy? At L’Oreal Counters near you
It was only when I saw these blush babies on the rack during the L’Oreal Miss Manga Mascara event that I remembered how back in highschool, I wished to own one. Back in my very exciting teen years of highschool, I had a classmate who was a cheerleader, pretty, smart, rich and very popular. She’s a good friend of mine. Despite her status, she kept grounded and stayed friendly with us ordinary folks. She even let me use her makeup! One of her favorites (and mine too) was her L’Oreal True Match Blush in Pink Marshmallow. It had a different packaging back then, I think it was square. It gave her an ethereal youthful blush that made her (and me sometimes) look like a fairy dusted with pixy dust. I wanted to have one myself, but alas, I was not born with a silverspoon, I had to climb up the ladder to get where I am today (and still climbing) so I can buy things I dreamed to have.

Packaging

The blush is housed in a small round case with a built in mirror and a separate brush case. This is very smart as you have all you need in one tiny compact.

The brush, though not the softest, is just perfect to grab the pigments of Pink Marshmallow. Some may find it a bit on the scratchy side but I found it to be useful since it’s quite hard to grab the pigment of this particular shade.

Shade

It’s an ethereal baby pink leaning towards the cool side. I have a neutral undertone so it looks okay with me. This shade of pink will look best for those on the cool/neutral. I think those with warm pigmentation will find it hard to pull off this pink blush. Not to mention this is a very very good dupe of Chanel Joues Contraste in Narcisse

Texture and Finish

It has a silky texture that adheres beautifully on skin (see face swatch). A heed of warning though that this has fine shimmer, but it’s super fine that it just looks like a gorgeous frosted pink on your cheeks if you used too much accidentally.

Staying Power

On our tropical and humid countries like the Philippines, this baby lasts on me for 3 hours. It needs retouching. But I don’t care, the shade is worth it.

Swatch

no makeup here folks, only good old blush. Oh lookie my hair is till green! :p

Will I repurchase?

YES. I finally found a more affordable version for Chanel’s Joues Contraste blushes. It comes in other colors too

I hope you enjoyed this post as much as I did writing it!  Please show some love by doing the following:
