Spend vs Save | ESTEE LAUDER DOUBLE WEAR VS MAYBELLINE SUPERSTAY FOUNDATION

I’ve been using Estee Lauder Doublewear Stay in Place Makeup in Rattan for over 2 years now as my HG (holy grail) foundation. I seldom use it everyday because it’s too expensive for my measly budget. But it’s sooooo darn good it’s worth every penny! Now I heard from a few people that Maybelline Superstay 24 Hr Foundation is a possible dupe. So I just had to see it for myself!

Estee Lauder Doublewear Price: 2,400php (Around 40USD)

• Expensive
• Satin finish
• Long wearing (24 hours)
• Doesn’t Oxidize
• No Pump
• Perfect shade match
• Challenging to blend

Maybelline Superstay Price: 499php (Around 10usd)

• Cheap!
• Has a pinker undertone
• Long-wearing (but not as long as Estee it shows signs of fading after 6 hours)
• Oxidizes on some people
• Runny

I’d say it’s a close match! Maybelline Superstay when applied on my face doesn’t look that much different vs my ELDW. Because it’s so cheap I can wear it without guilt any day of the week. I highly recommend this to girls on a budget who can’t afford ELDW but wants something similar. This is a good dupe! Kikaysikat approved 🙂
