Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation 2W2 Rattan (Review, Photos, Swatches) | BEST LONG WEARING FOUNDATION FOR ME

This is my ode to Estee Lauder Wear Foundation in Rattan and why I love it so much. Now before you read any further, I would like to let you know that I’m in my 30’s, have combination skin (oily t-zone, dry cheeks),  and live in a tropical humid country like the Philippines.

Finding a foundation that lasts despite those conditions and still look good for my skin is like a needle in a haystack. Tried different foundation formulas and price-range. High-end, mid-end, to budget. But nothing beats this baby. I want to kick myself for not purchasing this sooner. But hey, better late than never right?

It has a thick liquid texture, that dries SUPER FAST. I prefer using my fingers to blend per area. Like I do my forehead first, then cheeks, then chin, then the remaining foundation on my nose. If you have dry skin, better use a primer. But once it dries, it sticks! Really long wearing.

I’m not going to lie and tell it to you straight. I have relatively good skin. My major concerns are redness on my nose area, chin, and uneven skin tone. But I heard from the beauty community and based on my hand tattoo swatch that this is full-coverage. It lasts for hours and it does not oxidize. Even with my acidic skin!

How long does this foundation last?

• After 4 hours – A bit of sheen is showing through, but no cracking or fading
• After 8 hours – Skin still looks amazing, even radiates a nice dewiness
• After 12 hours – Looks the same as 8 hours
• After 24 hours – I still look human!

For the love of God please remove your makeup before going to bed. Even if the foundation claims to be non-comedogenic and non-acnegenic. It’s true tho! Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation did not break me out. There are foundations that costs more or less in the same price range of 2,400 pesos or 42 USD but this one for me is worth every penny.

I consider this my holy grail and I don’t mind repurchasing over and over and over and over. No wonder it’s a cult classic.
