5 Essential Tips for Fairer Skin
Hello! Today on the blog, I’ll be sharing with you my 5 essential tips for fairer skin. I know I know, you probably done tons of research on different skin whitening products and such. From whitening supplements, to external skincare. I would like to take this time to say THANK YOU to the person who’s reading this right now. Also, a quick disclaimer. All of us are born with a “fairness tolerance” or a limit on how fair our skin is going to be. Let us not judge people. There are those who want to be tan, those who want to be fair, and those content with what they have. The following tips I would give you are basic know-hows especially if you’re just starting out on your journey to skin fairness.
Just make sure you choose a product specifically for your skin type. Are you dry, sensitive, combination, or normal (unicorns LOL)
5. Start Out with Soap
Guilty as charged. I use the same soap for my body as I do for my face. It saves time, and to be honest, if you’re using a well produced whitening soap, you can use it on both parts. Saves money and time. Look for the following whitening ingredients in your soap and make sure they are high up on the list. It means you’re getting good quality whitening soap
- Tranaxemic Acid
- Kojic Acid
- Alpha Arbutin
- Licorice
- Clair Blanche
- Papaya
- Calamansi
- Lemon
4. Moisturize
Since most whitening soaps leave skin dry and flaky, always remember to moisturize and apply lotion afterwards and before going to bed. Also moisturize internally by drinking at least 8 glasses of water a day
3. Regular Exfoliation
There are a few soaps that also serves to exfoliate skin especially those that have AHA, BHA, Kojic, and other skin safe acids. This assures you that dead skin cells are regularly shed so fairer and fresher skin is revealed, not hidden.
I recently discovered a wonderful exfoliating solution from a small local brand Endless Beauty that you just apply on your skin right after soap (before rinsing). It smells so good and works FAST. You can literally see micro-exfoliation immediately. I’m amazed with this product and recommend it to anyone who’s reading this right now. I’m not even paid to say this. It’s GOOD so GOOD.
2. Skin Supplements
Best whitening starts from within. Invest in a good skin whitening supplement that matches your body. I reviewed tons of glutathione and other whitening pills on the blog. Just browse around and find what suits you most. Remember like all products, it’s a trial and error basis. What’s good for me may not be good for you.
1. Protect Your Skin from the Sun
I get this question a lot. “Miss Kaycee, I already use whitening soap, whitening lotion, whitening creams, and whitening supplements, bakit hindi pa din po ako pumuputi?”. Then I respond, “Are you wearing sunscreen with high SPF regularly?”. They answer “No, hindi ko po alam na kailangan pa yun”. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the most important part of the process. Even if you do not want to have fairer skin. If you just want healthy skin, never forget to protect it from the harmful UV rays of the sun. I reviewed the best sunblocks that I’ve tried and might feature more in the future. Apply sunblock with at least SPF 30 every time you expose yourself to the sun, re-apply every 4 hours or so.
