Gah.. this has been long overdue. Like, one year overdue. Talk about procrastination Kat! It’s well known that I’m obsessed with anything related to whitening, skin perfecting, beauty, and anti-aging. However, there’s one type of product I wasn’t fond of using. Lotions. Yes lovelies, whitening lotions. Why? I’m lazy! When I take a shower, I like to use soap, then after that I put on my sunscreen, bb cream, or any sun protection on my face. Then spray Belo sunblock all over my body. I particularly love Belo’s spray sunblock because I just spray it on like perfume and it instantly gives my skin the sun protection it needs. Enough raving, let’s talk about our main topic. Whitening lotions. I decided, this 2015 to start using lotion consistently. It’s just been this time that I realized, whitening internally, or using whitening soaps is not enough. We also have to moisturize the body because fair skin looks good when it’s smooth and glowing. Not white and dry or else our skin will look like chalk.

Kikaysikat says: A quick reminder, our skin can only reach a maximum amount of fairness no matter what we intake or use. A maximum whiteness, when we reach it, that’s it. Unless there’s a miracle.

It says intensive but it’s no different from regular lotion. I didn’t find any significant fairness or  brightening on my skin when I used this for a couple of weeks. It lacks in the moisturization departement too. Kudos on the sun protection and the affordability. I will not use this again.

Block and White Ultima (DISCONTINUED)
Gosh, the Block and White Ultima was THE whitening lotion if you want something that works really fast. It was an underdog and I think it’s discontinued already because I can’t see it anywhere. I heard raves from fellow forum member and I wanted to try this so bad but everytime I search for it it’s nowhere in sight  *sob*

My mom is an ultimate fan of Nivea lotions. She slathers them on every single night and I admire her legs for looking so soft, bright, glossy, and smooth. She swears by this lotion. I had a phase when I religiously used this every night too and I love how it made my legs look more radiant  and glowing. I keep on coming back to this. Their packaging is eco-friendly too.

A Bonne Miracle UV Milk Lotion
This is the lotion I used in college. It has a nice slip, and spread on easily on my skin. After 1 week I immediately saw results and visible improvement on my skin texture and fairness. It also moisturizes very well. faveeee!

Vaseline Healthy White Instant Fair (Click here for full review TONIGHT)
They claim it can whiteni your skin upon application. NOT. No instant whitening whatsoever. See my full review to believe it. What moreso on their “long term whitening” claim. This lotion is a disappointment. As much as I didn’t like this product, I had to write a full review to let people know the truth.

This lotion has a hefty price and is considered a luxury. It has essential ingredients that are the most active and effective in terms of skin whitening. That’s the good part. The bad? The consistency is so thick it makes it difficult to apply and evenly spread on your skin. As in you have to rub it really hard. It’s even thicker than your moisturizing creams. I’m sure if I was patient enough this would show results in intense whitening, but considering how tough it is to apply and lazy old me. I skipped it and gave this product away.
Yes folks I was paid to feature this before. It does make your skin instantly fairer and it does as it claims. However, when I tried GLUPA, that lotion gave a more significant change in color compared to this one. The plus points on this lotion is that it has good sun protection, easy to apply, can be bought anywhere and is cheap! 🙂 It’s average for me.
