No, this will not be exactly a “review” of Bingsu. It’s too precious to be treated like an object. Just kidding! I can recall the first time I tasted Bingsu at a generic Bingsu Cafe in Taft with my Nuffie Talent Manager Gicel. It costs us 190php for mangoes with shaved ice and cream in huge servings. I looked at it and asked my self, “What’s so special about shaved ice”. After that one bite, the rest is history. Heck, if it’s possible to order Bingsu with just the shaved ice and condensed milk I shall do so.
WHY IS IT SO DAMN GOOD?
5 REASONS BINGSU IS THE PERFECT DESSERT
#5 FLUFFY CREAMY ICE
Shaved iced made out of milk melts in your mouth with each spoonful
#4 YOUR MOOD. YOUR TOPPINGS
Are you feeling tart? Choose mango! Want something heavier? Chocolate brownies or cheesecake! Looking for excitement? The nutty taste of injeolme will tickle your tastebuds!
#3 SWEET FOR SHARING
Here in Manila, there are 2 sizes. Regular and Large. Trust me the regular size is big enough for 2. I recently influenced my kid on the joys of bingsu. I now have a partner in “crime”. If it’s a crime to eat bingsu everyday huhuhu.
#2 TWO WORDS. CONDENSED MILK
Sweet milk + Sweeter milk = heaven. Here’s what I do. I dip my spoon in condensed milk before I scoop bingsu. Then both dance a wonderful waltz in my mouth. Good thing most bingsu places offer unlimited condensed milk. My favorite is Hobing!
#1 HAPPINESS IN A CUP
I can’t believe I wrote an entire blog post glorifying a dessert. I love it so much I named my wrestling finisher after this. Injeolme driver. There’s just something satisfying in eating something sweet after every meal and bingsu is perfect because it’s not too heavy. *sigh*
Who else likes to eat bingsu? Let me know I am not alone! HAHAHA HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!
Belated happy birthday! Grabe, nagutom ako sa post mo.. tagal ko na naririnig tong Bingsu pero di ko pa na-try. Maghahanap ako saan malapit na meron nito =) Any recommendations, Miss Kaycee, kung meron ka alam within Ortigas area?
