Upon checking my shoe closet, I found out I only have 10 pairs of sneakers and 1 pair of sandals. Sure, I could probably get away with wearing just my chuck taylors most of the time. Only to realize this was a HUGE MISTAKE! A multi-hyphenate woman such as we should have these 6 shoes in her wardrobe to rise up to any occasion.
Okay. This is already a dead giveaway so let’s put it out first. A pair of white sneakers could be the easiest to have. You can wear dress it up and wear it with chiffon or silk gowns, or dress down with jeans and a shirt. It’s a flexible pair you can wear with a n y t h i n g . Even undies.
#5 Ballet Flats
Perfect for errands and everyday wear. A pair of ballet flats in black should do the trick. You can wear them with jeans, skirts or shorts. Comfortable to run around in shopping sprees or groceries. It’s not too casual that you can also wear them to work.
#4 Strappy Flat Sandals
The perfect shoes for summer or tropical weather. They look best when worn with swimwear, short shorts, and skirts. When choosing a pair, take note of details. A strappy one is highly recommended!
#3 High Heels
This is something you wear for formal occasions like dinners, cocktails, and parties. A muted neutral color with a minimum of 4-inch heels is perfect.
For your usual rainy day, or when you’re going to travel to a country with winter and snow. They’re not only functional, they also look good when paired with skirts or tapered pants.
Last but not the least, LOAFERS! If you want something a step dressier than sneakers but still want to feel comfortable. These are your best bet. You can wear them on-duty or off.
There you have it ladies! I hope my post helped. Actually I’m guilty of writing this article for myself. Looks like we have a shoe shopping to do!
