Perhaps the most widespread and popular use of aromatherapy is for stress relief. The aromatic compounds from many different essential oils are known as relaxants and can help to soothe your mind and eliminate anxiety. Some of the best essential oils for stress relief are lemon oil, lavender, bergamot, peppermint, vetiver, and ylang ylang essential oils. Certain studies have also shown that lemon oil can improve mood and reduce outbursts of anger.

Aroma diffusers help purify the air. Furthermore, essential oils that are added to a diffuser increase the purifying effect because they can help kill bacteria and fungus that are present in the air. Research has shown that oregano, cinnamon bark, thyme and clove bud are the strongest and most effective antibiotic oils.

My Personal Experience with Essential Oils

This may or may not be part of an elaborate networking scheme but using essential oils worked for me. Especially the Aches Away and Bye Achoo blend. I don’t know what’s in them (I trust her too much lol) but the Aches Away blend gave me the same relief I get from using Salonpas, Tiger Balm, Omega Pain Killer, Tai Chi Oil; without the hot stinging sensation or the strong smell! Yes, that’s also the list of my favorite topical pain killers for my back pain. LOL

The Bye Achoo when swiped under my nostrils seem to protect me from #supermegacat’s natural allergens. Less sniffles and sneeze for me!

The effects may not be long-term, but it gave me instant relief and I find it more comforting to use than drugstore bought topical medications. Do not expect miracles and believe exaggerated claims. Essential oils and aromatherapy is a great addition to your lifestyle but it’s not a cure for cancer (figuratively speaking of course).  I don’t plan to subscribe to memberships and whatnots. I’m glad to receive ready-made blends or source out on my own.

So still consult your doctor before using anything. DON’T use it on your babies before asking your pediatrician and always be careful in handling oils! There are a lot of seminars held in the Philippines that will teach you everything you need make sure you join legit ones. Also, trust your instinct and judgement. If it smells like networking, it is networking.
