MAC Captive (Swatch, Review, Photos) aka Karraminah’s Lipstick

What? Mac Lipstick in Captive (Satin)
Where to buy? MAC Stores
How much does it cost? 1,200php

So I’ve been stalking KC Del Rosario’s instagram, Andi Eigenman, and Jake Ejercity as a guilty pleasure. Ever since I read their grams and tweets over at FashionPulis I’ve been intrigued with their rollercoaster love story ala Gossip Girl. Each person has their own group of fantards, trolls, and bashers. I gave KC a complement on how pretty she looks and one of the bashers stalked my account and left a nasty comment on one of my photos. I like KC for her style and how she prettifies herself. We all know her beauty isn’t natural but who cares right? She has the money to make herself gorgeous!

So during one of my instagram browsing time, I saw photos of her and noticed her lipstick made her look like a bombshell! It was pink, but not an innocent kind of pink. It’s not plum either. It was a combination of pink and wine. It looked flattering on both daytime and nighttime. I had to know what it was! I’m so glad she responded with the answer: MAC CAPTIVE. Lo-behold a few hours after she answered I went to the nearest MAC store and I’m happy they refreshed their stocks!

It’s not too bright, not too light, no too dark. It’s a sexy pink color that can instantly brighten up your face without overpowering it and can look great on any eye makeup! Keep the cheeks a bit light with some contour and a hint of blusher. At first glance at the tube and at the lipstick itself the color is kind of blah and bland but upon swiping it on it’s magic! It’s in a satin finish so expect great color payoff and performance. Some ladies find this MAC formula a bit drying but I find it okay compared to their Ruby Woo (my favorite red albeit as dry as a crayon!).  It doesn’t bleed so you don’t need to use a lipliner too.
I’m seeing this worn on dates and night outs if you want this peg/inspiration:
Sultry. Sexy. Seductive. Sweet.

See the other keyword? Sweet! Sometimes when we try to be sexy, it makes one look cheap and “slu*ty”. Some lip colors do that to use especially if it doesn’t suit our skin tones or facial features.
Will I repurchase?
YES!
Who do I recommend this to?
I recommend this shade to girls who already have fair skintones as this is very flattering.

I like the color and it doesn't look as drying as the MAC matte lipsticks I bought and stopped using before. 🙂
