I HAD A NON-SURGICAL FACE LIFT! | PDO Thread Lift – Everything You Need To Know

I HAD A FACE LIFT (PDO Thread Lift)! Did I kill the suspense? Don’t worry, you’re not alone! I was also surprised that day at The Beauty Empire when my anak-anakan Mayor MJ of Vanity Room invited me to have any anti-aging rejuvenating service that The Beauty Empire offer

During the time of writing I’m 31 years old. My skin concerns: Forehead lines, laugh lines, crows feet, “bulldog” cheeks; all starting to be prominent and evident despite my intake of anti-aging supplements.

I’m very much open to beauty enhancements, procedures, surgical and non-surgical. I do not judge. Because sometimes we have to feel beautiful from the outside before we feel it from within (note, not everyone are the same ok?)

If you’re too lazy to read you can watch my VLOG below. But I’ll also share you the full story, procedure, do’s and don’ts, and everything you need to know on having a Thread Lift Procedure.

My goodness I couldn’t help myself from taking selfies! I feel and look 10 years younger after my PDO Thread Lift Procedure at The Beauty Empire! It enhanced my natural bone-structure especially my cheekbones. No need for contouring na nga most of the time. WOW! That’s all I can say.

Was it painful? It had topical and local anesthetics so you can barely feel it. Having a Lip Tattoo or Eyebrow Embroidery is more painful than this one.

Do I recommend this? Why not coconut! Life is short. Go try it yourself if you feel that you need to turn back the clock a bit.

Would I do it again? Time can only tell 😉

The PDO Thread Lift is a treatment which lifts and tightens sagging skin tissue, using threads made of Polydioxanone (PDO). The threads introduces them into the deeper layers of the skin. Once introduced, the threads produce 3 effects in the skin:

  • Instant Skin Lifting through mechanical effects
  • Cellular Renewel, through Collagen stimulation, and neovascularisation to improve skin texture, fine lines and elasticity
  • Skin Tightening, by contracting fat tissue

About 6 months after the procedure, the PDO threads will disappear through simple hydrolysis (they are absorbable). The lifted facial contours will remain for about 3-6 months more, due to the cellular rejuvenation effects. Your skin cells are stimulated to produce new collagen, and new blood vessels to improve skin microcirculation. At the same time, the PDO threads cause the fat tissue to contract, producing a skin tightening and facial slimming effect.

  • alcohol
  • supplements such as Vitamin E, Omega Fish oils
  • Avoid going to the steam room, sauna, and engaging in heavy exercise such as High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT).

Following 2 weeks after the PDO Thread Lift, you are also discouraged from undergoing any dental treatment (which requires you to open your mouth excessively.)

You are also advised to sleep on your back to allow the swelling to subside and to avoid the putting pressure on the face that might cause misalignment of the threads.

I experienced 2 side-effects after the procedure because I wasn’t careful enough to follow the post-treatment instructions. Thread extrusion and dimpling. I made sure to sleep flat on the bed but due to unconscious movements I woke up sleeping on my side. To my shock the thread was OUT of my face and I was scared as f***.

I panicked and texted The Beauty Empire right away. They were calm and collected the whole time. Advised me to visit the clinic as early as possible so they can re-insert the loose thread. *whew* after that, it took 2 weeks before my face felt 100% comfortable. Mild swelling and discomfort is normal.
