Revlon Insta-Fix Highlighting Stick (Review, Photos, Swatch)

Strobing and contouring. It’s my guilty pleasure. I’m addicted. Trend or no trend I’ll continue shaping my face til the day I.. alright let’s not finish the sentence hahaha. Why? When done correctly, it can make your best features POP and also hide your flaws.  Today I’ll be reviewing Revlon’s Insta-Fix Highlighting Stick. I brought this with me together with the Insta-Blush and Insta-Fix Foundation when macho kid jop and I travelled to Tagaytay and didn’t want to bring my whole make-up kit.

Yes. I only brought 3 items with me! Each stick costs around 725 PHP

I brought all 3 but for today I’ll only be reviewing the highlighter

Revlon Insta-Fix Highlighting Stick (Review, Photos, Swatch)

Description: Highlight instantly with this mistake-proof stick. In two gorgeous shades, perfect for highlighting on virtually any skin tone. Formula with light filtering technology delivers a professionally re-touched look. Use with PhotoReady Insta-Fix™ Makeup to get a mistake-proof contoured look.

• Easy to apply one swipe for a subtle look or build for a more dramatic, ‘strobed’ look
• To highlight, apply in center of forehead, on cheekbones and chin
• Makeup stick allows for perfectly precise application – even on the go!
• For light to medium skin tones, use Pink Light
• For medium to deep skin tones, use Gold Light

I got the one in Gold Light!

Packaging – It comes in a snap plastic twist-up stick with a secure cap. Perfect for travels!
Staying Power – *sigh* In a humid country like hours, this slides off within 2-3 hours on my face. Even with a primer.
Shade/Finish – OOOOH the shimmer is ultra micro super fine baby. No visible glitter in real life or in photos. It leaves your face with just that glow from within.
Texture – It glidses like smooth silk and dries powdery.
Scent – Nothing noticeable.
Final Thoughts – Great for travel or for touch-ups. Expect frequent touch-ups if you use this one because it doesn’t last very long. I suggest using a setting spray on top. It’s unfortunate because it really imparts a lovely lit face what’s not overpowering or loud.
