My Experience at Creations Greenfield Salon by Lourd Ramos
As a blogger, some readers might think we go to every event or party that we get invited to. For someone like me, who really doesn’t blog full-time believe it or not, there are some cases I’m not able to go because of the following reasons: Venue is too far from where I live or where I work Not within my schedule. I work on a 9-5 job *sob* Not in my niche PR who sent invite is very impolite. For my co-bloggers who are reading this, can you relate? When I received an invitation to try the salon services of Creations by Lourd Ramos Salon, I was definitely pleased with how nice…

A WOW Hairday! : Fanny Serrano’s HairCare Launch + Chic Korean Salon
Pardon me. This is my first time to attend a press launch, thus the giddy tone and excitement haha! Weeeeee ^_^. It was held at C2, Greenhills-Annapolis and the press, beauty editors, and bloggers were the ones given this wonderful opportunity to take the first look at Tita Fanny’s latest “baby” Â Just this lunch, I was invited to attend the launch of Tita Fanny Serrano’s Professional Hair Care Collection. Ooh boy was it something that I wasn’t expecting and I was under dressed wearing jeans and a shirt while everyone was wearing fancy dresses. Hahaha!! TF (Tita Fanny) started with his beginnings as a stylist, and then entrepreneurship on starting his…

Tips & Tricks : Dry Shampooing
One of the sacrifices I have to make as a new mom is that I am not allowed to take a bath for a month. I have to follow old customs of my relatives since they are concerned about my health. I went thru CS operation when I gave birth to my baby Geof, and because of that, I am left with a painful wound (bikini cut yey, and not even visible thanks to my great OB). It is a custom that women who just gave birth are not allowed to take a bath for 1 whole month because they are afraid they might get “lamig” or “chills”. To be honest, it has…

Chi Pro Collection Review : Travel Iron and Hair Dryer
This is a very, very, very…. late post since I got this set as a Christmas present from my Auntie last Christmas. I have been using it (especially the hair dryer) ever since. I rarely use the iron since I dont have the time of day to straighten, or curl (yes it curls!) my hair on a daily basis, and Im also afraid of the styling damage it might cause on regular use. The Chi Pro Set comes with the following tools/products: Travel Iron (dual voltage) Travel Dryer (dual voltage) Shampoos, conditioners, styling products that I gave away or sold off Travel Bag (very useful!) First on the list is the travel iron,…

Alternative Head Lice Treatments
When your regular anti-lice shampoo just wont work on your kid, or on yourself (yeah sometimes when it gets too warm and you’re always outside, adults can catch it too! eww *sob* ) Funny that when I was a kid, I’m always playing on the streets outside with neighbor kids, and yes, I get the occasional lice during summer. My mom would by “kwell” but time came when it just didnt work anymore. The lice still stayed there, bouncing around sipping my blood happily. Gross I know. Then I remember, mom would resort to pouring beer all over my hair and leave it on until it is dry. Then rinse it off afterwards.…

Rebond. An Affascinante Salon Review
No. It wasnt me who had the service but my husband. I never had my hair rebonded my whole life! Ms Weng.. of the salon, also didnt recommend me that because she said my hair was beautiful already. (See? An honest stylist who wont force services on you!) I asked if I could get a treatment or something else but she said my hair was perfectly fine and all I could get was a cut if I wanted to. She can color my hair but we couldnt do that because I was pregnant. This was our second time, the first time was last year of May. I like him with wavy hair but…

Goodbye Hairfall :) Hello Healthy Shiny Hair
I had thin hair ever since I was a kid. I dunno, I was born that way. During my teen years, I always envied schoolmates of mine who has thick luscious hair, even if theirs was wavy or frizzy. I wanted thick hair. Mine, however, was straight, and flimsy. My problem grew when college years went by, the stress caused my hair to fall at an even faster rate.. that I had to resort to had it curled to put more volume (argh damage) It all ended when I started using Human Heart Nature’s Strengthening Shampoo and Mango Butter Conditioner (heaven sent I tell you). I had the peppermint variant and it smells…
