Tips and Tricks: BB Cream Without White Cast
Picture with Flash
Would you actually believe I am wearing the notorious Dr. Jart Silver Label BB Cream here? The BB cream brand that a lot of users say give white cast and such.
I have been a BB cream user for around 3 years now and tried more than 25 brands (yup! and too lazy to review all of them) and my problem with them when I was starting out is the deadly white cast it gives especially in flash photography.
See any white cast in the photo? Nadda, hooray!
Tip #1
Less is more, all bb creams when applied way too much will and will make you look like an espasol (powdered rice cake) . A pea size is all you need for the whole face. A pea size. Please remember that BB cream is not really supposed to cover everything granted it gives good coverage. It is meant to enhance and brighten the skin.
Tip#2
To apply the pea size, rub the product on the palm of your hands to warm it up, and pat pat pat on the whole area on the face. Blend afterwards. Proper blending is the key, the heat will make the product sink in your skin making it more natural.
Tip#3
Use a setting powder with minimum SPF or much better if without. When you set the BB Cream with a powder of your skin tone, and no spf, it will cover the titanium dioxide of the BB cream and will result to a beautiful finish.
Hope these techniques would let you use ANY BB Cream you want without limitations! Update me when it works for you too! 🙂
