Review: Cha Tuk Chak Milk Tea and Coffee Hub
Why, hello there. While I am writing this I am salivating to have one large of Cha Tuk Chak’s Thai Green Milk Tea and quench my thirst in this crazy summer heat. I’ve been a long time milk tea fan and have reviewed a lot (Best Milk Tea in Metro Manila). After 3 long years of being stagnant. I can finally say Cha Tuk Chak deserves to be on the number one spot. I’m giving you 9 reasons why you should spend time and visit there and 1 reason not to.
#9 Only Fresh Quality Tea is Used
I have sensitive taste buds and can detect bad tea from good. The tea they use tastes fresh, pure, and not to the point of diluting it where it tastes like water with a hint of tea. You can choose between the original thai, green (jasmine), matcha (raw green, powdered), and hojicha (roasted matcha) .
#8 Their Milk Tea is CREAMY
I don’t know how they formulate their tea. But it’s so creamy, I assume it’s TEA + FRESH FULL CREAM MILK. Instead of TEA + WATER + POWDERED MILK. Me and my son Geof are absolutely in love *_*
#8 Their Milk Tea is SWEETENED PERFECTLY
They don’t offer “sugar levels” because to be honest their tea doesn’t need any adjusting. Their milk teas are not too sweet, not too bitter. This way, your taste buds can fully appreciate the flavor of the tea.
#7 THEY’RE RIGHT BESIDE RES BENE
I’m not sure if RES BENE is owned by the same guys who owns Cha Tuk Chak Ph but they serve a hell of a cold plate sashimi platter. It’s a mix of tuna and salmon, dressed with spicy mayo. Ugh, it’s perfectly paired with my green milk tea!
They also serve affordable bento during lunch hours (11:00-2:00). The photo above is bacon wrapped tilapia.
#6 The Place is KID FRIENDLY
My son geof was looking at the display jeepneys and was in awe. The owner (who was there) told Geof that he’s free to play with them as long as he doesnt break em. Talk about customer service! *clap clap*.
#5 FAST WIFI + OUTLETS
They are under PLDT FBR and have several outlets per table. Perfect for working. An alternative to cramped cafes.
#4 COZY CAFE
The interiors are lovely. It’s a cozy place that feels very homey to hang out in. I do wish they turn their airconditioning up a notch during summer coz it’s so freaking hot.
#3 Delicious Golden Bites
Their Golden Bites (120php) are thick butter toasts with special dips. The choices are yema, kaya, and thai milk tea flavor. My son is addicted to these and orders at least 3 per visit.
#2 Friendly Staff
They remember who we were and were responsive to my questions.Service was fast and during the first time I visited there, they suggested drinks to try.
#1 BEST MILK TEA IN METRO MANILA
Visit Cha Tuk Chak and tell me if you find anything better than their tea. Absolutely, one of a kind.
and… IT’S LOCATED IN KAPITOLYO
REASON NOT TO VISIT CHA TUK CHAK
I can be a selfish prick sometimes. I am hesitating to publish this article to be honest because I’m afraid that the place would be packed, quality would decline because of the popularity. But hey.. I’d rather keep the business up and running as long as it can. One of my favorite places so far!
