SEE: Permanent Hair Removal – Everything You Need to Know

Permanently prevent hair growth. Is it possible? I have a naturally hairy body, even as a woman. My back and underarms can look like chewbacca’s if I don’t wax, pluck, or shave on a regular basis. The process is time consuming and painful. But what can I do? I have 3 choices: Stay hairy, continue the hair-removal services, or try permanent hair removals by means of laser.

Over the course of time, I finally decided to try the last one. Permanent hair removal by IPL. Did it work? Am I now hair-free?

What is IPL? IPL (intense pulse laser) can permanently reduce hair growth, most effectively in darker, coarser hair. There are many names and devices for pulsed light treatments such as E-Light, ELOS, and M-Light.[citation needed]Laser hair removal is different and uses coherent, monochromatic laser light. My Past Permanent Hair Removal Experiences

Feel free to read my reviews on a couple of clinics to get into detail on how IPL works

How Many Sessions Will It Take?

Honestly speaking, it took around 8 sessions to see visibile results

Is it Painful?

YES. Even when clinics claim that “Hey, this is painless, you’ll barely feel it, we’ll provide you with numbing cream” You will still feel the sting. You will feel the burn. Endure it.

Are the Results Permanent?

Yes and No. Yes, because after stopping having treatments for more than a year, the hair on my underarms are very fine. They still grow. You still need occassional plucking or shaving,  but even if you skip those two in a month or more, the hair won’t be as visible as before. They also don’t grow more than an inch. It tremendously slowed down hair growth but it didn’t permanently prevent hair growth.
