REVIEW: CANMAKE Mermaid Skin Gel UV SPF50
Hello guys, first product to review from my Canmake haul is their Canmake Mermaid Skin Gel UV SPF 50 (790php from Canmake Philippines). First thought was “Ohh…. this is too expensive for an everyday sun protection“. But I shelled out 790php anyway. There were so many rave reviews online from bloggers to redditors that I had to try it for myself!
Was it really a stand-out from the rest of the sunscreens in the market?
Sometimes, there are days where you just like to reward yourself and purchase as many makeup as you can from 1 certain brand. This is what happened to me last month. I’ve been obsessing over Canmake Cosmetics.
*drumroll*
This is my mini-haul and hopefully I’ll be able to review each canmake product in the following weeks to come 🙂

Mermaid Skin Gel UV
Powerful, yet delectably moist
● SPF 50+ / PA++++
● Smooth gel without that roughness or stickiness characteristic of most sunscreens. Recommended for those who prefer a light, refreshing sunscreen.
Splash it on like a facial lotion – also serves as a make-up base
● Gel breaks down into a watery texture as you smooth it over your skin. After using face wash, this is all you need for complete skincare and UV protection.
*Can also be used after your usual facial lotion and other skincare products.
● Serves as a moisturizing make-up base with UV protection. Infuses your skin with moisture, helping your foundation to sit better and last longer.
● Use it on your body, as well as your face.
Skincare gel with 85% beautifying ingredients
● This pleasant watery gel contains 85% beautifying ingredients.
Easily portable tube format
● Sunscreen is most effective when reapplied frequently. Comes in an easily portable tube that makes it simple to adjust the amount you apply, so it’s perfect for reapplying sunscreen when you’re out and about.

REVIEW
Was it really a stand-out from the rest of the sunscreens in the market?
YES.
It dispenses out of the tube like a white-colored gel, but dissolves clear and feels like water when applied.
It has fine microshimmers when you really take a closer look, but it’s barely noticeable in cam or in person. Very, very comfortable to wear and it’s so easy to apply on the face and all over the body. So light that I forget it’s on. Dries clear and does not photography with a white cast making it an excellent makeup base.
Claims to have beauty ingredients but I don’t notice any significant changes. Another great thing? It didn’t cause me any breakouts unlike most brands do!
If I wasn’t trying to save money I’ll use this everyday! It’s that good.
Will I repurchase? A big solid YES.
🙂
