Hey y’all! Everytime someone asks me “What’s your anti-aging secret?” the first thing I recommend using is SUNSCREEN. (Further reading: Why Should You Wear Sunscreen NOW). Now I slather on sunscreen like there’s no tomorrow and I always run out pretty fast. Up for review is what I’m currently using. The CosRx Aloe Soothing Sun Cream SPF 50+ PA+++ (srp: 740php/70ml)!

CosRx is one of the leading kbeauty skincare brand in Asia. Featuring simple products that work. One of my earlier favorite is their CosRx Pimple Patch that zaps cystic zits in a jiffy. Aloe has been used as great ingredient for hydrating and moisturizing ever since 4,000 years ago. It was one of the favorite natural materials used by Cleopatra for her beauty care. Aloe vera has strong anti-aging effect by creating the powerful moisture layer on the skin while offering the deep soothing effect. Aloe Soothing Sun Cream contains 5,500ppm of aloe vera leaf extract.

COSRX ALOE SOOTHING SUN CREAM REVIEW

FRAGRANCE

Light and fresh scent of florals and grass. It doesn’t have that weird chemical sunscreen smell that most products have

WHAT I LIKE

• Soothing
• Easy to blend on my skin. No tugging!
• Moisturizing. You can skip the moisturizer and just use this one. When I tried putting on a separate moisturizer + this one, it made my face feel clogged and heavy
• Ample sun protection
• Perfect for any season!
• Did not clog my pores or caused any breakout
• Skin looks glossy not oily
• It has Aloe babyyyyy (Further Reading: Uses of Aloe Vera)

WHAT I DON’T LIKE

• The price. It’s 740php for a measly 50ml of product. I can finish this in less than a month. But if I use this only on my face maybe it’ll last longer @_@
• It is a bit on the sticky side. You can layer it on with powder if you want that matte/smooth feel
• It’s NOT waterproof.

FINAL THOUGHTS

Call it placebo or what-not but my skin felt more nourished while using this sunblock. It’s a bit on the pricier end of the spectrum as a sunblock but I don’t mind re-purchasing this again! I recommend this sunscreen for people who have; sensitive skin, dry skin, normal skin, combination skin. I’m not sure if gals with oily skin can tolerate the minor stickiness.
